NBA Same Game Parlay Odds & Picks: Friday (3/14)

We will be breaking down two contests across The Association this evening. Things kick off in Denver, where the Nuggets take on the Los Angeles Lakers at 9:40 p.m. ET. Subsequently, we head down to Utah, where the Jazz and Raptors match up in a battle to determine who will fall further in the standings. Without any further preamble, let's dive right into our same-game parlay (SGP) picks for these contests.
Friday’s Best NBA Same Game Parlay Bets
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Los Angeles Lakers at Denver Nuggets
- Leg 1: Nuggets Team Total Under 123.5 Points (-110)
- Leg 2: Lakers Team Total Under 108.5 Points (-118)
- Leg 3: Nuggets Race to 55 First-Half Points (-330)
With the Lakers already down LeBron James, and the possibility of being without the services of Luka Doncic as well, this contest could be a tough outing for Los Angeles. The Lakers played last night and were handled quite easily by the Bucks in Milwaukee. Los Angeles will once again be on the road, and the result of this contest might be even worse.
Once again we are going to tread dangerous waters, as we attempt to side with one of the most dangerous words in sports betting - logic. The spread is over 13.5 for Denver, meaning oddsmakers are expecting this contest to be completely one-sided in favor of the Nuggets.
If that outcome holds to fruition, the 123.5 suggested team total for Denver seems like it may be a tad gracious. The Nuggets have scored fewer than 123.5 points in two of their previous six games and may not have their starters on the floor for the fourth quarter. With Denver playing tomorrow, the team may decide it's best to preserve some energy for the second leg of a back-to-back.
For Los Angeles, it's a matter of availability. As it stands, Austin Reaves could be one of the only threats on the offensive side of the ball for the Lakers this evening. Los Angeles has only cleared 108.5 points once in their previous five games (an overtime victory).
The Lakers will be without their two most prolific scoring options, are playing on the second leg of a back-to-back on the road and have only shot the ball at a 45% clip as a team over the last five games. It's a low number for the current NBA, yet we still feel Los Angeles falls short of scoring more than 108.5 points tonight.
Denver ranks fourth overall in the league in regards to points scored in the first half with 60.9. Whereas Los Angeles will most likely be without a combined average of over 53 points in their starting lineup. Denver might be a team you can score on most nights. However, the absence of Doncic and James should allow the Nuggets’ offense to score 55 points before the Lakers in this contest.
Parlay Odds: +315
Toronto Raptors @ Utah Jazz
- Leg 1: Under 232.5 Points (-112)
- Leg 2: Jazz Alt Team Total Over 109.5 Points (-115)
- Leg 3: Isaiah Collier Under 7.5 Assists (-125)
- Leg 4: Isaiah Collier 15+ Points + Rebounds + Assists (-475)
The Toronto Raptors will be severely undermanned for this contest, with three starting players already ruled out, and Scottie Barnes currently listed as questionable. These two teams combined for 225.7 points scored over the last 10 games while allowing an average of 115.1 points.
Toronto has exceeded 232.5 points in two of its previous 10 games, while the Jazz have scored at least 233 in four of their last 10 games. Given the combined 30% success rate, we feel this game falls below the suggested total of 232.5.
The Utah Jazz have scored at least 110 points in six of its last 10 contests and just missed this threshold when these two teams met on March 7th (109). The Raptors will be without most of their inside presence for this game, which should result in less resistance at the rim for the Jazz.
Utah is tied for sixth place in regards to pace on the season and is averaging 113.3 points per game over their last 10 games. The Jazz are averaging over 116 points per game in their last 10 home games.
Isaiah Collier has recorded at least eight assists in three of the past 10 games with an average of 6.7. The assists total for this prop seems predicated on Collier having more than 7.5 assists in two of the previous four games. At the same time, it may be grossly underestimating the fact the rookie guard has averaged 25 minutes over the last two games.
We have no doubt Collier should dish out a decent number of assists tonight. However, eight seems like a very high total if Collier is not on the floor for at least 30 minutes.
Collier is averaging 10.5 points, 6.7 assists and 3.3 rebounds in 28.8 minutes in the last 10 games played. When playing at home, those numbers increase to 11.5 points, 8.7 assists and 3.8 rebounds. While we may be down on the assists total for tonight if the minutes fall under 30, Collier looks to be in a fantastic spot to combine for 15+ points, rebounds and assists.
Parlay Odds: +625
