NBA Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Sunday (12/18)

We’ve got another seven games on the NBA slate tonight. Only the Magic and Celtics will play during the afternoon. The rest of the slate will be during the nighttime on the East Coast.

Therefore, if you’re looking for more action after the early NFL slate, you can add some betting slips in the NBA in the night time. Here are two same-game parlays to consider for tonight.

Brooklyn Nets vs. Detroit Pistons

  • Leg 1: Kevin Durant Over 28.5 Points (-113)
  • Leg 2: Kyrie Irving Over 24.5 Points (-122)
  • Leg 3: Kevin Durant Over 1.5 Three-pointers (-130)

The Brooklyn Nets are currently 18-12 on the year after a dreadful start. Give Brooklyn some credit. The duo of Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant is finally starting to come together.

Kevin Durant has added nearly 30 points per game this season. He’s hit 29 or more points in 59% of games and will take on the Detroit Pistons, 29th in the NBA in points allowed.

Durant averaged 28.2 points in December while only shooting 34.5% from downtown. Still, he’s shot 60% from the field, proving his value around the rim. With much easier looks against a depleted Pistons team, Durant should be able to get better shots from the field. He’s hit two or more threes in four straight games and is usually automatic from the foul line.

Meanwhile, Kyrie Irving has added 25.6 points per game this season. His line is sitting at 24.5 points tonight. Irving has hit 25 or more points in 57% of games, and again, is taking on a Pistons defense that is 29th in points allowed.

Irving has hit 32 or more points in two of his last three games and is averaging over 27 points in December. Like Durant, he’s also shooting over 50% in the month.

Back the Nets stars to dominate offensively tonight.

Charlotte Hornets vs. Denver Nuggets

  • Leg 1: Terry Rozier Over 19.5 Points (-156)
  • Leg 2: Terry Rozier Over 4.5 Assists (+104)
  • Leg 3: LaMelo Ball Under 5.5 Rebounds (-146)

Although the Hornets have only won seven games this year, we can still profit from them.

LaMelo Ball has only played in five games this season but he’s averaging 21.6 points per game and has earned seven assists per game. However, he’s only managed to haul in 2.8 rebounds in those five games. His rebound prop is at 5.5, and the Nuggets are among the best rebounding teams in the NBA. If Ball couldn’t earn rebounds in the first five games, he likely won’t be adding a bunch of rebounds to the box score tonight.

Meanwhile, I still think bookmakers underrate Terry Rozier and what he’s done for the Hornets. Rozier has averaged 21.8 points per game with 5.7 assists per game. Of course, with Ball on the court, Rozier will produce less. He’s only shooting 39.8% from the field, but with Ball on the court, Rozier’s shooting average should rise as he’s asked to do less.

Rozier shot terribly in Charlotte’s last game against Atlanta. But before that game, he added nine straight games with at least 22 points. But when he struggled with just 10 points against the Hawks, Rozier had nine assists. He’s averaged close to six assists through December.

The Hornets aren’t a good basketball team. But they’ve still got value to profit off of.
