Thursday’s Best NBA Same Game Parlay Bets

    (Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Washington Wizards at Portland Trail Blazers

There isn’t a better matchup for centers than taking on the Washington Wizards. They’re allowing the most points and rebounds to the position, play at the league’s fastest pace, and own the second-worst defensive rating, setting up Deandre Ayton to have a night. Despite shooting 6-for-18 from the floor last game, Ayton finished with 16 points and 15 rebounds. When he has played 30+ minutes this season, Ayton has averaged 14.6 points and 11.9 rebounds per game. The best matchup comparison to the Wizards would be the Pacers, and Ayton went off against them. He finished with 22 points and 13 rebounds against them on 11/27.

If Ayton is taking care of the points and rebounds, someone is going to have to be dishing it out. Since rejoining the team at the beginning of the month, Anfernee Simons leads the team with six assists per game. He has gone over this mark in five of the seven games, averaging 12.4 potential assists per game. To no surprise, the Wizards permit plenty of assists to point guards. They have allowed the second-most assists per game to the position.

    Parlay Odds: +525

    Indiana Pacers at Memphis Grizzlies

He’s baaaaaaaack. Ja Morant made his return two nights ago with a bang. He led the Grizzlies to just their seventh victory this season on a buzzer-beater for his 34th point of the night. 24 of his 34 points came within the paint, which is where the Pacers bleed points. They’ve allowed the most points in the paint by a wide margin, play at the second-fastest pace, and own the third-worst defensive net rating. Ja led the NBA in PITP in the 2021-2022 season and was 10th last year.

The leading assist disher in the association this season is Tyrese Haliburton, who is averaging 11.9 per game. He has found at least 11 assists in 15 of 22 games this season, and Memphis has allowed the eighth most assists per game to point guards. He should go over this mark once again as long as this one stays close throughout.

A big reason as to why the Pacers get torched inside the paint is due to their three-point defense. No team allows fewer three-point attempts than them, by a pretty wide margin. Jaren Jackson Jr. isn’t one to attempt many threes as it, and only took three shots from beyond the arc the other night with Ja back in the fold. This one could get sweaty if he hits one early on, but the volume is pretty unlikely to be there for him in this one.

    Parlay Odds: +460
