Thursday’s Best NBA Same Game Parlay Bets

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Miami Heat at Dallas Mavericks

The first nationally televised game of the night on TNT resides in Dallas with the Heat coming into town. They will be a hair shorthanded without Tyler Herro and Kevin Love in this one. Over the past four games without Herro around, Jimmy Butler has eight, seven, three, and nine assists, while averaging nearly 14 potential assists per game. He’s actually over this mark in six over his last seven games, averaging 7.4 assists per game. Given Dallas’ subpar defense which ranks 24th in adjusted defensive rating, along with being 20th in opponent assist percentage, and ninth in pace, Jimmy should find his way to at least six assists in this one.

More often than not, Butler will likely be feeding Bam Adebayo in this one. The Mavericks have allowed the most points to opposing Centers over the last 15 days. Without Tyler Herro in the fold, Bam has gone for a 20-piece in 12-of-16 games this season as well.

Erik Spoelstra knows the only way to contain Luka is to blitz him with double-teams. This is the treatment he gives to just about every opponent’s primary scorer, so we shouldn’t expect anything different here. Luka is averaging 27 points per game across nine games against Miami for his career. He is under this lofty total in eight of those matchups.

Brooklyn Nets at Detroit Pistons

This isn’t the sexiest game on the board, but it’s one worth looking into nonetheless. With all the injuries Brooklyn is dealing with, there is value to be had, and Dennis Schroder stands out the most to me here. The Nets will be without Cam Thomas, Ben Simmons, and Cameron Johnson in this contest. Schroder has played at least 34 minutes in three straight largely due to the Nets’ lack of depth at Guard. He has point/assists lines of 23/7 (27 minutes due to a blowout win), 14/8, 13/9, and 20/8 over his last four games without both Thomas and Simmons available.

Now he draws a great matchup taking on the lowly Pistons. They’re allowing the second-most points and 11th-most assists per game to opposing Point Guards this season. Detroit is also 28th in adjusted defensive rating and 10th in pace, so scoring and dishing should come easy for the Nets starting PG.

The Nets aren’t doing much of a better job containing Point Guards either. They have allowed the fifth most points per game to opposing PGs on the season, setting up Cade Cunningham to have a solid night. In two contests with the Nets this season, Cunningham put up 22 and 41 points against them. He has 21+ points in eight of his last 11.

Parlay Odds: +425
