NBA Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Thursday (10/20)

After an enthralling 12-game slate yesterday, we are back to a much more lax two-game slate tonight with Bucks-76ers and Clippers-Lakers. This season has already started with a bang. The Pelicans absolutely showed out, and Paulo Banchero shot out of the gate in his NBA debut. Each week, I will come at you with my favorite same-game parlay bets for your liking and win you some money throughout the season. With only two games today, there are only so many options to choose from, so remember to take it slow. You don't want to blow your bankroll on the season’s third day.

Here are my two favorite same-game parlay bets for tonight's slate.

All odds via DraftKings Sportsbook

Milwaukee Bucks vs. Philadelphia 76ers

  • Leg 1: James Harden OVER 22.5 points (-110)
  • Leg 2: Tobias Harris OVER 5.5 rebounds (-115)
  • Leg 3: 76ers -3.5 (-110)

Basically, I am buying into a 76ers bounce-back game after an opening night loss to the Celtics.

James Harden went 9-14 from the floor with 12 free throws. He shot nine threes and played 37 minutes. I expect him to continue his high usage, high minutes combo, especially in what should be a game that stays close throughout. I am not expecting him to repeat his 35-point performance, but he should still comfortably reach 23.

All five 76ers starters played over 33 minutes, with Tobias Harris clocking in 34 on Tuesday. He only brought in two boards against Boston, which I imagine brought his total down for tonight. The BettingPros player props cheat sheet has Harris' rebounds projected at 7.1, good for a +36 percent value, the best prop play on the slate tonight.

The Bucks will be without Khris Middleton, Joe Ingles, Pat Connaughton, and DeAndre Bembry, with Wesley Matthews questionable to play. Most of Milwaukee's scoring will lean heavily on Antetokounmpo and Holiday, but Giannis is still human and can only do so much to win a game for his team. I expect Philadelphia to be too much and join the rest of the city in their winning (and covering) ways.

Los Angeles Clippers at Los Angeles Lakers

  • Leg 1: Anthony Davis OVER 9.5 rebounds (+105)
  • Leg 2: Paul George 3+ three-pointers made (-125)
  • Leg 3: Ivica Zubac OVER 8.5 rebounds (-125)

To put this game projection simply, there will be a lot of shots taken, and many shots will be missed. LeBron James said himself – this Lakers team is not exactly full of shooters. After going 10-40 from beyond the arc on Tuesday, I imagine the Lakers' shooting woes will continue, meaning there will be plenty of rebounds to gobble up.

That said, I see Paul George taking on most of the usage with Kawhi Leonard coming back. Last year, George averaged 8.3 three-pointers attempted per game, the most he's attempted since the 2018-19 season. I expect that trend to continue and trust his shooting enough to sink more than three.

It may not seem like the best move to take two opposing players' rebounding, but we saw a total of 95 rebounds in the Lakers’ season opener. I am quite comfortable with the idea of Davis and Zubac both going over their expected totals.

Parlay Odds: +575 on DraftKings
