    Memphis Grizzlies at Miami Heat

Unless you’re a Heat fan excited about the potential of Terry Rozier’s debut, this one will likely be pretty boring to watch and could get out of hand. The Grizzlies are missing so many pieces these days, and are +10 road underdogs in Miami. This game total is the lowest of the eight-game slate, sitting at just 213, so let’s look to some unders in this one, starting with Jaren Jackson Jr.

For starters, the Heat play at the third slowest Pace in the association. They also have Bam Adebayo manning the paint, making life difficult for any big man. Miami has allowed the second-fewest points per game to opposing Centers, and without Morant, Bane, Smart, etc. around for Memphis, the Heat can pretty much zone in on whatever JJJ tries to do.

Jaren Jackson Jr. is also the reigning DPOY, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see Adebayo not have the best offensive day either. With both Tyler Herro and Jimmy Butler back in the picture, this line is a touch too high for Bam, who isn’t getting nearly as many touches with them in the lineup. He is under this in eight of 12 games when all three play together this season, averaging 36.8 PRA per game.

Again, this is more of a play on the potential for a blowout, but this also isn’t really a line that Xavier Tillman has been exceeding very frequently either since the cluster injury on Memphis. Over his last nine games, he’s under this total in seven, averaging just 5.7 total rebounds per game.

    Parlay Odds: +460

Oklahoma City Thunder at San Antonio Spurs

The battle for the Rookie of the Year award takes place in San Antonio, and it should be a fast-paced, high-scoring affair with a game total of 241. The French phenom, Victor Wembanyama, has been absolutely balling as of late, so it’s only fitting to target him in this matchup. Wemby is averaging 24.9 points and 3.5 blocks per game over his last 11, and that comes on just an average of 25 minutes per game!

He just played 28 minutes last game though, the most he has played in over a month, and he is supposed to come off this minutes restriction soon. Wemby is over this point total in eight of his last 11 and has found at least three blocks in 12 of his last 18 as well.

Rather than looking to Chet Holmgren, Wemby’s competition for the ROY, check out what Jalen Williams has been doing across his last 10 games. He’s averaging 21.5 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game. He has gone over this line in nine of his last 10, and there’s no reason to think this trend is going to slow down in this one given the defensive struggles for the Spurs.

    Parlay Odds: +375
