Orlando Magic at Milwaukee Bucks

Giannis Antetokounmpo leaving yesterday’s game could be a massive blow to the Bucks’ playoff chances going forward. They have two very important games against the Magic for seeding circumstances to close out the season, and we get the first tonight. It’s a back-to-back for both teams, and the Bucks will hope for Dame time to take over, so let’s target him here. The Magic have allowed the fifth most points per game to opposing Point Guards, and Lillard has posted 37, 17, 41, 31, 32, and 26 points without Giannis this season.

Khris Middleton will also be tasked with a bigger workload. This isn’t an ideal spot to be taking Overs in, but given the magnitude of Giannis’ absence, there will be plenty of scoring and stat sheet filling to go around. With 21+ minutes, Middleton has recorded 32, 34, and 32 combined points, rebounds, and assists without Antetokounmpo.

Getting the Magic involved, this is a brutal spot for Wendell Carter Jr. to get much scoring done. Brook Lopez has consistently done a great job at containing him, dating back to WCJ’s time in Chicago. He has stayed under this 12.5-point prop in eight of 10 games, averaging just 9.9 points per game. Carter is averaging 11.3 points per game on the season as it is, so take the under here.

Minnesota Timberwolves at Denver Nuggets

Both of these teams are battling for the top of the West. They have identical records, but the Timberwolves own the tiebreaker with the Nuggets 2-1, so this game will play a big part in shaping the playoff picture. With so much on the line, look for Nikola Jokic to do his thing and put up some points even in a tough matchup. The last time these teams met up, he put up 32. Jamal Murray wasn’t available in that one and he is doubtful to play on this back-to-back, so look for Jokic to put the team on his back here. Excluding two games he played 14 and 16 minutes, the Joker has gone over this in 13-of-19 games without Murray averaging 30.4 points per game.

Karl-Anthony Towns’ injury has shined a light on what Naz Reid is capable of. He is now neck and neck with Malik Monk for the Sixth Man of the Year award. Since KAT went down, when Reid has played 24+ minutes, he has scored 18+ points in 12-of-16 games averaging 20 points per contest. Look for him to keep his scoring ways up against the Nuggets here.

Fading Rudy Gobert and his boards doesn’t sound very appetizing, but the boards won’t come so easy with Jokic. In 23 matchups with Jokic, Rudy has stayed under this mark in 18-of-23 games, averaging just 10.9 rebounds. The trend speaks for itself, so let’s hope he’s too concerned with boxing Jokic out to actually get the rebounds once again.

Parlay Odds: +430
