Los Angeles Lakers @ Washington Wizards

With this being the second half of a back-to-back for the Lakers, this game could be a bit closer than what the 13-point spread might lead you to believe. They had to travel through customs last night in Toronto to make their way down to Washington, D.C., so L.A. could come out sluggish. Washington is also playing on a back-to-back, but they just beat the Bucks and are feeling good coming into this one. Both of these teams play extremely fast, ranking in the top four in pace, hence the 234.5 total. So, there will be plenty of scoring in this one.

Rui Hachimura figures to play a decent part in the scoring and might have a little extra motivation. This is his first game back in Washington after spending his first three and a half years there. Since joining the starting lineup in early April, Hachimura has exceeded this total in 17 of his last 23 games, averaging 17 points per game.

With Tyus Jones sidelined, Jordan Poole has taken over facilitating duties for the Wizards and has filled in admirably. Over his last six games, he has recorded 12, five, eight, six, eight and 13 assists, averaging a potential of 13.7 per game. The Lakers have also allowed the fourth-most assists per game to opposing point guards on the season, so look for him to keep up his dishing ways in this one.

Washington has also ceded plenty of assist production to point guards throughout the season. They have allowed the fifth-most assists per game to the position. With it being a back-to-back, there’s always the possibility that LeBron James or Anthony will sit out. It would create a massive void in the offense if either were to. Regardless of whether they are out, this looks like a low enough line for D’Angelo Russell to take advantage of. He has exceeded this line in eight of his last 11 games, averaging 7.3 assists per game.

Portland Trail Blazers @ Charlotte Hornets

It’s a good thing we have wagering and fantasy sports because this game would be unwatchable otherwise. It does set up well for an SGP though, considering the 1.5-point spread separating the teams. This is also a fantastic spot for Deandre Ayton, who has come alive towards the end of the season when he sees the time on the floor. Since Jan. 24, when he has played 30+ minutes, he is averaging nearly 37 points + rebounds per game. He has gone over this line in 10 of those 17 games, but this contest profiles well for him. The Hornets have allowed the third-most points and second-most rebounds per game to opposing centers.

Dishing him the rock will likely be Scoot Henderson. The third-overall pick in this past year’s draft is entrenched in the starting lineup and will see ample usage on the floor. He has recorded at least six assists in five of his last six games, averaging 14.2 potential assists per game over this span. The Hornets have allowed the third-most assists per game to point guards this season, so he should find his way to seven in this one.

Brandon Miller, the second-overall pick in the past year’s draft, has started to find his shot to end the season. Over his last seven games, he has scored 19+ points in five games, averaging 20.3 per game. The Wizards don’t have the defense to slow down anyone and are 29th in adjusted defensive rating on the season. With a plus-matchup on hand, Miller should be able to find at least 21 in this one.

Parlay Odds: +370
