Chicago Bulls @ Washington Wizards

The NBA Cup must have sportsbooks in a frenzy because this total seems entirely too high considering one team is effectively out of the running already. Nevertheless, we will never complain about a possible slight edge. It makes more sense to expose the high total and string together some correlated selections.
Chicago still has its site set on raising the NBA Cup. They will look to run up the score as much as possible to further their point differential amongst the other teams in their grouping.
Speaking of point differential, this aspect seems to imply both teams will score as much as possible in this contest to solidify their spot in the next round of play. What is seemingly being overlooked is the fact that if Chicago wins 140-100, it's still a +40 differential in points, and the total is still under the suggested amount for this contest.
We get it. Two teams who prefer to push the ball up and down the floor that predominately do not uphold their defensive assignments on most nights is a great spot for an over. However, Washington has no reason to keep their starters on the floor if they are getting crushed going into the fourth quarter.
Chicago, on the other hand, has the initiative to keep scoring. If Friday night against Atlanta is any indication, that is exactly what they will do. The Bulls are averaging 131 points in their two NBA Cup games. Washington has scored 213 points total in their two contests.
You can play it safe with Chicago on the Moneyline. However, the -196 juice is quite brutal. Taking Chicago -5 appears to be much more palatable if the Bulls have their starters playing maximum minutes late into the fourth quarter.
There are a plethora of prop combinations you can explore for Zach LaVine in this contest tonight. We are deciding to err on the side of caution and attack two smaller totals - three-pointers made and assists.
Quick side note: LaVine has cleared the implied 22.5 points in four straight contests. We wouldn’t fault you if you wanted to keep this parlay going by adding his points prop and the points + assists combo prop.
The Chicago guard faces a Washington team tonight allowing 27.1 assists on 122.9 points per game. The Bulls are currently averaging over 28 assists each contest on the season - including dishing out 32 assists against Atlanta on Friday. LaVine has cleared 3.5 assists in five of his previous seven contests and is just shy of that mark regarding his season average of 3.9.
LaVine is averaging 6.5 assists during the first round of NBA Cup play and has exceeded 3.5 assists in two games played. This appears to be a smash play for the veteran guard, and one we will not be passing up tonight.
While the Wizards are a solid source to exploit for assists, they are even further down the line in perimeter defense - allowing the fourth-most three-pointers made to the opposition.
LaVine has knocked down three or more baskets from deep in four straight games, with an average of 4.5 per game over that span.
Chicago is going to look to fill up on points tonight. We expect LaVine to flourish in this matchup while clearing 3.5 assists and knocking down at least three baskets from beyond the arc.
Good luck with your parlays and have a happy, yet safe Thanksgiving.
