As we continue to wrap our heads around what has already been a wild trade deadline week, we will be breaking down two contests across the association this evening. Miami will be on the road in Chicago for a matchup against the Bulls at 8:00 p.m. (EST). Following that, we have a matchup for bragging rights in Los Angeles, as the Clippers will take on the Lakers at 10 p.m. Without any further preamble, let's dive right into our SGP's for these contests.

Miami Heat at Chicago Bulls
- Leg 1: Under 228.5 Total Points (-110)
- Leg 2: Chicago Bulls – Under 113.5 Total Points (-115)
- Leg 3: Bam Adebayo Over 18.5 Points (-115)
Each team is experiencing a bit of turbulence to their current roster situations. Which means this could be a perfect scenario to pounce on. Chicago has only covered the Over in 44% of games played this season. When Miami is playing on the road as a favorite, the team only hits the Over 40% of the time.
The Heat have surpassed the 228.5 total in two out of the last five games. Whereas Chicago, scores just under two points fewer when playing at home. The Bulls connect on fewer three-pointers, and shoot a lower percentage from the field, as well as from beyond the arc, when on their home floor.
The loss of Zach LaVine extracts 24.0 points out of the lineup. While Chicago has been effectively scoring without the veteran guard over the last four games, they were not facing a top-ten defense as will be the case this evening. Miami has held the opposition to a mere 110 points each contest, which is the seventh-lowest total in the league.
The Bulls are currently allowing the most points in the paint, conceding over 56 each contest. Bam Adebayo scores 57.9 % of his points from inside the painted area. Adebayo is averaging 25.6 points over the last three games on 60.8% shooting from the field.
The Miami center has taken on an increased scoring role recently while seeing an uptick in overall usage as well. Bam is accounting for 22.7% usage on the season. That number has jumped to 25.8% over the last three contests.

Los Angeles Lakers at Los Angeles Clippers
- Leg 1: Clippers Moneyline (-285)
- Leg 2: Clippers Over 113.5 Total Team Points (-115)
- Leg 3: Kawhi Leonard Over 17.5 Points (-120)
Taking away Anthony Davis and Max Christie from a Lakers squad that already ranks 21st in regards to defensive rating is sure to cause problems. Austin Reaves is a remarkable offensive player, however, on the opposite side of the ball, there's quite a bit to be desired. These deficiencies could be combated with Davis in the middle of the paint. Without the superstar, it's going to be a difficult task to stop the Clippers from scoring at will.
The Lakers have won four out of five games without Davis. Having said that, only one of those victories was against a team above .500. The Clippers have been victorious in four of their last six games, and have six more wins than losses on the season. When these two teams last met on January 19th, the Clippers won that game by 14 points with Anthony Davis in the game.
The defensive loss puts the Lakers in a difficult spot. The offensive contributions Davis provided were equally as important, and the team loses an average of 25.7 points to the starting lineup. Without the 134-point performance against the lowly Wizards, the Lakers are averaging 112.25 points when Davis has not been available this season.
The Clippers should have very little issue clearing 113.5 points tonight. The team is averaging 116.8 points over their last five games while shooting an insane 49.5% from the field. The Lakers allowed 118 points to the Sixers without Joel Embiid and Paul George. The Clippers are healthy and have reached 114 points or more in seven of their last twelve games.
Kawhi Leonard is averaging 19.25 points over the last eight games. Mind you, the veteran forward is still playing fewer than 30 minutes per game. Leonard has played the Lakers 16 times and is averaging 19.6 points on 48.9% shooting. Over the last three games against the Lakers, Kawhi is scoring an average of 26 points.
