Orlando Magic at Milwaukee Bucks

The Magic had high expectations coming into this season. Despite the adversities, they are in a great position in the playoff race. Their young core of starters missed some games: Franz Wagner, Wendell Carter Jr. and former Rookie of the Year Paolo Banchero have all missed time. Banchero was out for nearly three months. Even with not having all of their players available throughout the season, they hold the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference.

They have some solid offensive players but rely on their defense, as they are first in points allowed per game (103.2) and second in defensive efficiency (1.035).

The Bucks are on the second leg of a back-to-back as they cruised to a 130-115 win last night, snapping the Kings’ seven-game winning streak. It looks like they are living up to expectations after a tough start to the season. They started the year by losing eight of their first 10 games but have improved and are 18-9 since.

They have an incredible roster, but Giannis Antetokounmpo has carried this team. He will be in the MVP conversation as he leads the league in points per game (31.5) and his 11.9 rebounds per game ranks sixth.

This game could be a defensive showdown, especially with Orlando having the third-highest under rate (61%) and Milwaukee the eighth (53.9%).

New York Knicks at Philadelphia 76ers

The Knicks looked great just a few weeks ago when they had won nine straight. However, they have lost five of their last seven, which could be a concern. This might be more indicative of the defense, especially against the Pistons, who they lost to on Monday, despite each starter scoring double digits.

That includes Jalen Brunson, who has been a prominent player on offense recently and has led the team in points and assists in three straight games.

When the 76ers are playing the second leg of a back-to-back, it usually means the lineup will have a lot of players sitting out. It might be different tonight because they sat eight players in Tuesday's matchup against the Thunder, including Joel Embiid, Caleb Martin, Tyrese Maxey and Paul George. Embiid might be the only one in this group who could miss this game, as he has sat out the previous five.

Getting this roster on the floor has been their biggest problem all season, and the lack of talent is impacting their playoff chances. They sit 11th in the Eastern Conference standings and have lost three straight.

The Knicks come into this game as a road favorite. They should come away with the win, especially if Embiid doesn’t play.
