Denver Nuggets at New York Knicks

The Nuggets’ five-game road trip has not started as they had hoped. They lost the first two games, including by 29 points to the Timberwolves. The defense had been playing better in recent weeks, but it looked awful in those last two games, allowing an average of 131 points per game.

The game against Chicago was a little closer, and Nikola Jokic needed another triple-double for it to stay close. He will play a large part in this matchup because he's one of the few players who could perform well against this Knicks interior.

New York’s 2025 season started poorly, with a 4-6 record in January. However, they started to get back into form with four straight wins, including two consecutive 143-point efforts. The most optimistic part is that neither Jalen Brunson nor Karl-Anthony Towns led the team in points.

The Knicks sacrificed defense in those two games and allowed 113 points per game. We could see a high-scoring game today.

Oklahoma City Thunder at Golden State Warriors

The Thunder are coming into this game having won three of their last five games, with both losses coming at the hands of the Mavericks. However, they still look like the best team in the league, as they have the best Net rating (+10.5). The defense is what will drive them to a championship, as they are first in defensive efficiency (1.016) and points allowed per game (104.2).

That doesn't mean they do not have offensive talent. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander leads the league with 32.1 points per game and is certainly in the MVP conversation as he has led this team with Chet Holmgren still out with an injury.

The Warriors will go from playing the worst team in the Western Conference to the best. They decided to give Steph Curry the night off on Tuesday in the win against the Jazz so he would be rested for this game.

The Warriors’ season started promisingly at 12-4, but they have gone 10-20 since and are currently 11th in the Western Conference. They've been terrible offensively in that span, averaging 107.4 points (26th) and shooting 43.5% (27th). Their defensive performance hasn't been better, as their 115 defensive rating ranks 23rd.

The Thunder contributed to the Warriors’ collapse with a win early on. Even with Curry in this game, the Warriors have struggled without rest, as they are 2-5-0 against the spread (ATS).
