NBA Same Game Parlay Odds & Picks: Wednesday (11/27)

The day after an NBA Cup night is interesting because some teams are on back-to-back nights, so their lineups might look slim. We still have a good slate of games and we'll make a couple of same-game parlays (SGPs).

Portland Trail Blazers at Indiana Pacers

After making it to the Eastern Conference Finals, the Pacers had high expectations coming into this year. They have not started great and are coming in losing five of their last eight games, with two of their wins coming against the Pelicans and Wizards.

Predictably, the defense hasn't been good. They are 23rd in defensive efficiency (1.128), but after being second in offensive efficiency last year, they are 16th this season (1.097).

The Trail Blazers are rebuilding, but they have been better than expected at 7-11. They have immensely improved on the defensive side, as they allow 113.7 points per game (17th). If they weren't the third-lowest-scoring team in the league, they might be a contender.

Portland is sixth in defensive possession length (14.1 seconds), while Indiana is sixth in offensive possession length (13.8 seconds). The Trail Blazers could make the defensive stop to keep this game close.

Atlanta Hawks at Cleveland Cavaliers

The Hawks play in many high-scoring games because they play from behind. They have some scorers but also one of the worst defenses in the league, ranking 28th in points allowed (121.0).

Trae Young is leading the way as usual with 21.6 points per game. After the Hawks get fined $100,000 for not having a legitimate reason for sitting him against the Celtics, we'll see him in Wednesday’s lineup.

The Cavaliers might feel looser since their winning streak was snapped at 15 games. They're trying to start another streak as they've won both games following their first loss of the season. This has been the best offense for almost the whole season, but they've been even better recently, with over 120 points in four of their last five games. They have six players averaging over 11 points per game.

The Cavs could easily win this game, but it also involves a game in which one team has a big lead and goes to the bench early. This is why you take the over-the-top offense against a bad defense.
