Los Angeles Lakers vs. Indiana Pacers

The Lakers look to turn things around after dropping seven of their last 10. Luka Doncic is the team’s newest member, but he knows he's looked on as a leader. He said in a recent interview that he and LeBron James need to "take charge." The Western Conference race is too close; the Lakers are currently the No. 4 seed, but they could climb to the No. 2 seed or fall into the NBA Play-In Tournament.

The Pacers are in a similar situation, but not as drastic. They are the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference, with a shot at No. 3, but they could realistically fall to No. 6. It might not happen the way they are playing as they come in with a five-game winning streak. They're also starting to improve on defense, ranking seventh in defensive rating (110.5) in the last 10 games. This is one of the more up-tempo offenses in the league. If they can hold teams on defense, they could be dangerous.

The Pacers are tough to beat right now, especially at home (24-9), while the Lakers are 15-19 on the road. This is no longer a one-dimensional team and the Lakers could struggle with that tonight.

Boston Celtics vs. Phoenix Suns

The Celtics have clinched a playoff spot, but the defending champs have higher aspirations. They could do no worse than the No. 2 seed, but with the Cavaliers' recent struggles and the Celtics winning nine of their last 10, they have pulled within 4.5 games of the top spot.

They will likely have to play without Jayson Tatum, who left the last game against the Kings with an ankle injury. Still, the best part about this team is its depth, and they have the talent to fill in and play well.

For the Suns, every game is crucial as they hold onto the final NBA Play-In Tournament spot and lead the Mavericks by only half a game. No one would have thought that with this collection of stars, they would be fighting just to get a chance for a playoff spot. Unfortunately, they've dealt with injuries throughout the season and have never had much time at full strength.

The Suns are dealing with that right now as Bradley Beal has recently missed time, but they are on their first four-game winning streak since winning seven straight back at the end of October through early November.

These are already two of the slowest-paced teams in the league. With each team missing a starter, they've recently tried to limit possessions even more. Look for this to be a low-scoring game.
