NBA Same Game Parlay Picks & Predictions: Monday (12/2)

It’s a small slate on the NBA board tonight. However, there’s still value. That’s all that matters.

I’ve added two same-game parlays (SGPs) for a couple of the matchups below. Tail along if you’d like.

Brooklyn Nets vs. Chicago Bulls

Ayo Dosunmu has added no more than 13 points in six of his last eight games. He’s also coming off a 13-point performance against the Celtics, where he saw 32 minutes and took 11 shots. In the previous 10 games, Dosunmu didn’t take more than 12 shots in a game. When he scored 21 points against Orlando, he was 10-of-12 from the field. That’s not sustainable. Additionally, he’s facing a Nets defense that ranked eighth in the NBA in points allowed to shooting guards.

Meanwhile, Zach LaVine will likely score more for the Bulls tonight. He’s added at least three three-pointers in six of his last seven games. While the Nets haven’t allowed a high rate of points to shooting guards, Brooklyn has allowed 3.66 threes to shooting guards per game. The Nets have also watched shooting guards hit 35.54% from downtown, which is 27th in the NBA defensively. LaVine should have success from downtown.

That said, Cameron Johnson likely won’t match for the Nets. Johnson has earned no more than three three-pointers in five straight games. Now, he’ll take on a Bulls defense that ranks eighth in three-pointers allowed to power forwards and fifth in three-point field goal percentage against power forwards. This is a bad matchup for Johnson, who has already missed this line five straight times.

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Minnesota Timberwolves

Julius Randle has put up at least 21 points in six of his last seven games. He only scored 11 against the Clippers last time out, so his player props dropped a bit. Still, Randle has been super consistent offensively and will take on a Lakers defense ranked 23rd in points allowed to power forwards this season. Additionally, power forwards have added a 49.14% field goal percentage and have attempted more than nine shots per game against the Lakers.

In addition, the Lakers are just as bad at defending centers as power forwards. Los Angeles has also allowed 23.22 points per game to centers this season. Centers have also taken 9.49 field goal attempts and have earned 4.7 second-chance points per game against the Lakers this season. Ultimately, Naz Reid has struggled over the last couple of games. But he still took an average of 11 shots per game in the previous 10. If he does this, he’ll find success tonight.

Finally, not all Timberwolves will score over their prop total tonight. Mike Conley should be one to go under. He’s added 11+ points in just 33% of his games this season. Despite hitting this prop in two straight games, he’s facing a Lakers defense ranked third in the NBA in points allowed to point guards this season. Take his points under to close out this parlay.
