New York Knicks vs. Chicago Bulls

Coming off a massive loss on the road and having to play a back-to-back isn’t ideal. I’m fading the Knicks tonight. Maybe they’ll win but it won’t be pretty.

Josh Hart was a triple-double machine earlier this week. Now I’ve got him going below six assists tonight. He had just two against the Thunder and will take on a Chicago defense that has allowed just 4.41 assists to shooting guards per game this season. Hart has only added 4.3 assists per game against the Bulls since 2021.

Meanwhile, Karl-Anthony Towns has recorded at least 21 rebounds in back-to-back games. He’ll cool off tonight. After all, he’s hit this line in just 45% of games this season and has averaged just 7.7 rebounds per game against the Bulls this year. Additionally, the Bulls have allowed just 13.83 rebounds to centers per game this season, which ranks sixth in the NBA.

The Bulls are also good at preventing small forwards on the glass. The Bulls have allowed just 7.42 rebounds per game to small forwards, which ranks ninth in the NBA. Mikal Bridges is a small forward with at least four rebounds in just 34% of games this year. This isn’t a great matchup for Bridges.

Atlanta Hawks vs. Los Angeles Clippers

Norman Powell has struggled to get going over the last two games. But he’s a streaky shooter. After all, he nailed at least 26 points in a six-game span before this minor little slump. Tonight, he’s in a much better spot going up against the Atlanta Hawks. The Hawks rank 27th in points allowed to shooting guards this year and have watched shooting guards nail nearly four threes per game. Powell could explode tonight.

Jalen Johnson has also missed his rebounds prop in two consecutive games. But he’s also added at least nine rebounds in 75% of games this season. Since the Clippers rank 22nd in rebounds allowed to small forwards, Johnson should be able to get back on track and will likely see 10+ boards tonight.

Finally, Trae Young has recorded at least three three-pointers in seven of his last eight games. But the Clippers are very good at defending the three, giving up only 2.63 threes per game to point guards this season. That ranks second-best in the NBA against point guards. Look for Young to cool down, at least from three-point range.
