Miami Heat vs. Washington Wizards

Terry Rozier has added at least 19 points in three of his first four games this season. He struggled on Wednesday against the Knicks but has added at least 19 points against below-average competition like Charlotte and Detroit. Washington is just as below-average, especially since the Wizards rank 26th in points allowed to point guards this year.

Nikola Jovic has taken a leap this season. He’s averaging more than ten points per game and will face a Washington defense that is also below-average against power forwards. The Wizards rank 21st in points allowed to power forwards this year. As long as Jovic gets 25 minutes, he’ll take enough shots to hit the Over.

Finally, while Tyler Herro is the leading scorer, he’s certainly not Miami’s best rebounder. He’s only grabbed 4.8 rebounds per game and has gone under his prop in every game this season. Herro will face a Washington squad that ranks 7th against shooting guards in rebounds allowed. Herro could be a big-time scorer. But don’t expect him to dominate the glass.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Los Angeles Clippers

Let’s start with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. He’s added 26.8 points per game but still has a line of 28.5. He’s added at least 30 points in just two of five games and has gone under 28.5 in the other three games. Ultimately, the Clippers are in the top ten in points allowed to point guards this season. Shai has taken more threes over the last couple of games and has hit only three of his last 16 from downtown. I’ll gladly take his Under.

Meanwhile, if Shai misses some shots, it’ll be hard for Chet to get his assists. Holmgren has added three or more assists in three of five games. However, he’s facing a Clippers squad that ranks first in the NBA in assists allowed to power forwards. Holmgren has only hit this line in just 30% of his last 20 games dating back to last season.

Lastly, consider adding Derrick Jones Jr. and his rebound prop. He’s added at least four rebounds in three of his first five games and will face a Thunder team that has allowed the second-most rebounds to small forwards this season. Someone has to clean up the glass on the Shai bricks tonight!
