Brooklyn Nets vs. Utah Jazz

Let’s start with Lauri Markkanen. He’s added at least 24 points in just 10-of-31 games this season. He’s also hit this line in just four of his last ten and will face a Nets defense that ranks 7th in limiting power forwards from scoring points. Power forwards have also attempted about 15 shots per game against the Nets, which ranks second defensively in the NBA. Markkanen’s usage will likely be lower tonight.

Meanwhile, Isaiah Collier is getting more minutes with the Jazz. However, he still hasn’t scored at least eight points in 25 of his 29 games this season. He even failed to add at least eight points yesterday against Phoenix. Instead, he totaled five points in about 27 minutes of action, attempting just five shots. Therefore, I’ll fade Collier and take his under.

I also recommend not relying on Noah Clowney of the Nets. Clowney has scored at least 15 points in just 18 games this year. He’s also averaged 13.2 points per game over the last ten, which isn’t good enough. Beyond that, he’s facing a Utah defense that ranks 8th in points allowed to power forwards this season. Against the Jazz, power forwards also have a hard time getting to the foul line, too.

Charlotte Hornets vs. Phoenix Suns

Bradley Beal is coming off a game with only 12 points against the Utah Jazz. He’s coming off the bench and is still getting 30+ minutes a game. However, his usage was super low against the Jazz. He only took ten shots and made four last night. Now, he’ll take on a Charlotte defense that ranks No. 1 in the NBA in points allowed to shooting guards. Take his Under.

Meanwhile, Devin Booker recorded only four assists against the Suns last night. He typically will have about 11.3 potential assists. He’s just had two wild games with a high rate of potential assists, but that number should ultimately go down against the Hornets. Charlotte has held shooting guards to just 4.61 assists per game this season.

Let’s finish with Brandon Miller to go Under 3.5 threes. He only nailed three threes against the Suns in his last game. Against the Suns, he took 12 three-point attempts but only drilled three of them. That’s because the Suns rank 4th in the NBA in limiting small forwards at the three-point line.
