There are many unimportant games in the NBA today. Most teams won’t play their starters much, if at all. However, a handful of games still matter, specifically in the Western Conference.
With a win over the Warriors, the Clippers can move to the No. 4 seed and would at least secure the fifth seed in the Western Conference. Meanwhile, the Nuggets would earn that No. 4 seed with a win against the Rockets today.
In addition, the Timberwolves must defeat the Jazz to clinch a top-six spot and could get up to a No. 4 seed. Those are some of the big games on the slate. Therefore, I’ll add same-game parlays (SGPs) for a couple of these pivotal matchups below.

Denver Nuggets vs. Houston Rockets
- Leg 1: Jamal Murray Over 18.5 Points (-108)
- Leg 2: Christian Braun Over 4.5 Rebounds (-125)
- Leg 3: Jamal Murray Over 3.5 Rebounds (-104)
It’s unclear what the Rockets will do today. Houston has already locked up the No. 2 seed and likely won’t play its starters. However, as suggested above, the Nuggets have something to play for.
Denver would earn the No. 4 seed with a win over the Rockets. That’s why they are 9.5-point favorites on the road against a 52-win Rockets squad. That said, Jamal Murray could be the X-factor today. The Rockets already rank dead last in points allowed to point guards this season. Murray has scored at least 19 points in 61% of games this season. He’s also hit this line in 65% of his last 20 games.
Meanwhile, Murray has also contributed at least four rebounds in nine straight games. Ultimately, if Denver is up by a lot in the second half, Murray and other stars likely won’t play much. But if the Rockets play backups, Murray and the Nuggets should get a lot of opportunities on the boards early.
In addition, Christian Braun has earned at least five rebounds in six of his last ten games. Houston ranks 21st in rebounds allowed to shooting guards this season. Let’s roll with Braun to also add at least five rebounds.

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Golden State Warriors
- Leg 1: Draymond Green Under 9.5 Points (-130)
- Leg 2: Moses Moody Under 9.5 Points (-136)
- Leg 3: Jimmy Butler Under 5.5 Rebounds (-146)
Draymond Green has scored 10+ points in just 42% of games this season. He’s also added 10+ points in just three of his last 10 and once in his last five. Meanwhile, Green will battle a Clippers defense ranked first in the NBA in points allowed to power forwards this season. Los Angeles also ranks first in field goals made to power forwards this season. Green doesn’t have a great matchup today.
Additionally, Moses Moody doesn’t have a great matchup, either. He has recorded at least 10 points in zero of his last five games. He’s in line to face a Clippers defense ranked third in the NBA in points allowed to shooting guards this season. Los Angeles ranks second in field goals made to shooting guards and is in the top 10 in free throws allowed to shooting guards.
Finally, Jimmy Butler has missed at least six rebounds in six consecutive games. He’ll battle a Clippers team ranked ninth in the NBA in rebounds allowed to small forwards this season. The Clippers give up a low amount of second-chance points and rank seventh in offensive rebounds to small forwards. They’re also 13th in defensive rebounding against small forwards.
