Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Orlando Magic

Jaden McDaniels is coming off a five-point performance against the Pelicans a couple of days ago. He’s added eight or fewer points in two of his last three games. Ultimately, his usage has been very low in the previous three games. He’s attempted single-digit field goal attempts in four of his last five games. Tonight, he’ll take on an Orlando defense ranked second in the NBA in points allowed to power forwards this season.

Rudy Gobert’s job is not much easier. The Magic have held centers to the third-fewest points per game in the NBA this season. Additionally, Gobert has scored no more than eight points in five consecutive games.

Finally, consider Anthony Edwards to go under 4.5 assists. The Magic have given up just 3.74 assists per game to shooting guards this season, which also ranks No. 1 in the NBA. Edwards had 11 potential assists in his last game against the Pelicans, but his teammates only made a few. His potential assists likely won’t even hit double digits tonight.

Houston Rockets vs. Memphis Grizzlies

Alperen Sengun has only added six or more assists in 36% of games this season. He’s nailed this line in just one of his last four games. While Sengun had six assists against Washington a couple of days ago, he only had eight potential assists. The Rockets hit shots for Sengun, but it’s unlikely that will continue against a Memphis defense ranked seventh in assists allowed to centers this season.

It’s been an odd last three games for Fred VanVleet. He’s only recorded five rebounds in three games combined. However, he’s still averaged 4.3 rebounds per game this year and has nailed at least five rebounds in six of his last 10 games. His rebound chances should increase, knowing Memphis ranks 22nd in rebounds allowed to point guards this year.

Lastly, back Dillon Brooks to go under 2.5 three-pointers made. Memphis has allowed just 3.01 threes per game to shooting guards, ranking fourth in the NBA in that category. Brooks has also hit this line in just one of his last three games and has earned at least three threes in just 39% of games this season.
