New Orleans Pelicans vs. Houston Rockets

Jalen Green has added back-to-back 12-point games for the Rockets in his last two games. He’s scored at least 20 points in only three of his last 10 games and will now take on a Pelicans defense that has limited shooting guards to just 19.76 points per game. The Pelicans currently rank second in the NBA in defensive points allowed to shooting guards. They’ve also held shooting guards to 26.34% from three and a 38.37% overall field goal percentage. Take Green to go under his points prop.

On the other hand, Dejounte Murray has hovered around 20 points in each of his last five games. However, he’s only hit at least 20 in two of those five games. A matchup against the Rockets should help Murray get over the hump. Houston ranks 28th in points allowed to points guards. They’ve allowed the highest three-point field goal percentage and have given up the second-highest field goals attempted to point guards this season. Murray is in line for a big game.

Finally, Fred VanVleet has hit at least seven assists in two consecutive games. VanVleet should continue this streak, knowing the Pelicans rank 28th in assists allowed to point guards this season.

New York Knicks vs. Minnesota Timberwolves

Jaden McDaniels has added at least 12 points in two straight games. Yet, he’s hit at least 11 points in only 40% of games this season. He’s also nailed this line in only two out of six games against the Knicks. He has averaged only 9.3 points per game over his last 10 games. He’ll take on a Knicks defense ranked second in the NBA in points allowed to power forwards. This won’t be a good game for McDaniels.

Conversely, Josh Hart has grabbed at least seven rebounds in 62% of his games. He’s missed this line in three of his last four, though, but he’ll compete against a Timberwolves team ranked dead last in rebounds allowed to shooting guards. Hart could end up with 10+ boards tonight.

Hopefully, some of Hart’s rebounds will eat into Rudy Gobert’s total. Gobert has added at least 12 rebounds in only one of his last five games. He’s also earned at least 12 rebounds in just 40% of games this season. That said, the Knicks have held centers to just 13.13 rebounds per game, which ranks third in the NBA. Take Gobert’s under on rebounds.
