NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (1/15/25)
Regular season record: 112-48
Ja Morant (G â MEM): OVER 19.5 points (alt line)
Ja and the Grizzlies are rolling and come into tonight's contest third in the West with a 25-15 record. Ja is no longer in the MVP conversation like he was prior to his off court incidents and injuries, but remains one of the most electric players in the league. He is averaging just 21.4 points per game on a career low .442 shooting, but his average spikes to 27.2 points per game in divisional matchups. Ja averages 23.8 points per game on the road versus just 19.5 at home. Morant has scored 25 or more in three of his last four games. Jab the More on Ja for Wednesday night's NBA action.
Karl-Anthony Towns (F/C â NYK): OVER 0.5 double doubles
Towns continues to be a double double machine for the Knicks, posting at least 10 and 10 in 34 of his 38 games played. For some context, KAT had just 22 double doubles in 62 games played last year. The last time he was viewed as a plus rebounder (for his size) was back in 2018-19, when he was still considered one of the best players in the NBA and a future superstar. Towns has recorded a double double in nine straight games. KAT registered 21 points and 13 rebounds in his lone matchup against Philadelphia so far this season. Tap the More on Towns for Wednesday night basketball.
Anthony Edwards (G â MIN): OVER 19.5 points (alt line)
Ant-Man got back on track against Washington, pouring in 41 points after being held to just 15 points on .307 shooting against an impressive Grizzlies team. The Timberwolves have taken a massive step back after dealing Karl-Anthony Towns to the Knicks and currently sit in eighth place and project to be fighting for a play-in berth all season long (barring a significant trade). Such is life when you trade a star player away from a team that just made the NBA Finals (and keep the most overrated player in NBA history in Rudy Gobert). Edwards has stepped it up since the TNT booth called him out, scoring 21 or more in five of his last six games and 32 or more in four of them. Ant-Man should be all the way up for a matchup against Stephen Curry and has scored 30, 27, and 19 points in his three matchups against the Warriors this season. Light up the More on Ant-Man for Wednesday night at Sleeper Picks.
Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
