NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (1/2/24)

Season record: 89-52

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (G – OKC): OVER 32.5 points

SGA has been incredible this season and comes into tonight as the NBA's third-leading scorer at 31.2 points per game. SGA has scored 34 or more points in four of his last five games and will be facing a Boston Celtics team that relinquishes the third most points per game to the point guard position at 26.43 per contest. He averaged 31.9 points per game in the month of December. The point total is gaudy, but scoring has been up across the NBA. Slap the More on SGA for Tuesday night.

Franz Wagner (F – ORL): OVER 23.5 points

Wagner has been electric for the Magic this season, averaging 21.2 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game. He has scored 24 or more points in six straight games. He has a tough test tonight against a Golden State Warriors team allowing just 19.84 points per game to the small forward position, but has been hot enough to keep the probability on the More. Paolo Banchero gets most of the media love, but Wagner's continued all-star level play is one of the major reasons for the Magic's hot start to the season. Fire up the More on Wagner for Tuesday night.

Brandon Ingram (G/F – NOP): OVER 24.5 points

Ingram has been locked in for the Pelicans this season, averaging 23.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game. He has scored 24 or more points in five of his last seven and 26 or more in four of them. Tonight, he faces off against a Brooklyn Nets team allowing 21.36 points per game. This is still a More play due to form and the fact that Brooklyn has surrendered the 11th most points per game on the season. Bump the More on Ingram for Tuesday night.

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
