NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (1/20/25)
Regular season record: 118-48
Cade Cunningham (G – DET): OVER 19.5 points (alt line)
Cade Cunningham should be an all-star this season, but the final fan balloting suggests that Cade may be in danger of being snubbed. His numbers have been elite enough to put him in the emerging superstar conversation and have actually translated to wins, meaning Cade is no longer just a star on a bad team; he's an all-star level player on a playoff-bound team. With that said, with the changes to the all-star format, we may start to see players opt out in favor of personal time, as we see in the NFL since they moved from Hawaii and subsequently changed formats. Cade has scored 20 or more points in five straight and in seven of his last eight games overall. He dropped 26 on Houston in their lone meeting this season and should crack the 20 point barrier as a matchup against one of the West's best will leave Cade with plenty of motivation. Clap the More on Cade for Monday night's NBA action.
Anthony Edwards (G – MIN): OVER 19.5 points (alt line)
Ant-Man has continued to play at an elite level since being called out by the main TNT panel, scoring 21 or more in eight of his last nine games and 28 or more in seven of them. Edwards has become a volume shooter from deep but is connecting at a high enough clip that teams are now forced to respect him all over the floor. This development has made him a true threat from anywhere past the halfcourt mark. Light up the More on Ant-Man for Monday night basketball.
Karl-Anthony Towns (F/C – NYK): OVER 19.5 points (alt line)
KAT continues to get it done both as a scorer and on the glass and comes into tonight's contest averaging 25.4 points and 13.9 rebounds per game. Towns has scored 23 or more points in five straight and in eight of his last nine. He has missed the last two games with a thumb injury but is expected to suit up tonight despite the questionable tag. KAT has faced Atlanta twice already this season, posting 34 and 16 and 19 and 19. Tap the More on Towns for Monday night at Sleeper Picks.
Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
