NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (1/23/25)
Regular season record: 126-48
Giannis Antetokounmpo (F – MIL): OVER 0.5 double doubles
Giannis has been consistent on the boards this season, averaging 12.0 a game. He has hauled in 10 or more rebounds in 14 straight games and has 31 double doubles in 35 games overall. Antetokounmpo is dealing with a knee injury but was slated to play yesterday before the contest against New Orleans was postponed due to snow. Atlanta has surrendered 10.2 rebounds per game to the power forward position this season. Domantas Sabonis and Nikola Jokic double doubles are superior plays tonight, but Giannis' probability is just under Jokic's. Grab the More on Giannis for Thursday night's NBA action.
Dyson Daniels (G/F – ATL): OVER 9.5 points (alt line)
Dyson has been flashing recently, registering two 20 point plus outings in his last three contests. Daniels has scored 18 or more in three of his last four and 11 or more in nine of his last 11 games overall. He's averaging 13.3 points per game on the season and 14.2 points per game in January. Dyson should be able to dice through the Raptors tonight, especially the two guard spot. Dap the More on Dyson for Thursday night basketball.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (G – OKC): OVER 24.5 points (alt line)
Fresh off a career high 54 points, SGA will welcome Kyrie Irving and the Dallas Mavericks to Oklahoma. The MVP frontrunner missed the game against the Mavericks last week but dropped 36 points and 39 points on them in the two contests he did play in. Gilgeous-Alexander has scored 25 or more points in 12 of his last 13 games and in 31 of his last 33. Slap the More on the SGA alt line for Thursday night at Sleeper Picks.
Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
