Welcome to NBA Sleeper Picks! Sleeper’s newest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We will break down our top three picks for tonight's NBA action. Similar to fantasy sports, the goal in Sleeper Picks is to draft a team of players based on who you think will perform better than the field. But with NBA Sleeper Picks, you pick teams of 2-8 players from multiple teams based on your preferences and predict whether those players will score more or less than a predetermined amount. There are a number of ways to play and a variety of strategies to employ, and we’ll guide you through the process each week. Here are our top NBA Sleeper Picks for today’s games.

NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (1/28/25)

Regular season record: 135-48

Tyrese Maxey (G – PHI): OVER 24.5 points (alt line)

Maxey has been on a scoring tear for the 76ers, pouring in 28 or more points in each of his last 10 games. His volume has been absurd, with a league high 23.4 field goal attempts per game, which has helped propel him to 30.4 points per game over that 10 game stretch. Maxey will get all the volume he can handle and then some tonight for the shorthanded 76ers. Mash the More on Maxey for Tuesday night at Sleeper Picks.

Giannis Antetokounmpo (F – MIL): OVER 0.5 double doubles

You know a player is special when 31.5 points, 12.2 rebounds, and 5.9 assists through 38 games on the season seems perfectly in line with expectations. The points, if the average holds, would be a career high, while the rebounds are just the third highest mark of his career. Giannis has recorded a double double in each of his last 17 games, including one against this same Portland Blazers team where he posted 31 points and 11 rebounds. Grab the More on Giannis for Tuesday night at Sleeper Picks.

LeBron James (G/F – LAL): OVER 19.5 points (alt line)

The initial plan was Amen Thompson rebounds, or even points plus rebounds, but Sleeper Picks has still not posted the totals for tonight's game. I suspect this is due to this being a matchup that was postponed, but regardless, it leaves us with fewer options on an already slow slate. With that said, there are still some attractive alt lines to consider. LeBron James is still playing at an extremely high level and comes into tonight's contest riding a seven game streak of 20 plus points. LBJ posted 21 points, 12 rebounds, and 13 assists when he faced Philadelphia earlier this season. Light up the More on LeBron for Tuesday night's NBA action.

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
