NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (1/4/24)

Season record: 93-54

Trayce Jackson-Davis (C – GSW): OVER 9.5 points

TJD has entered the starting lineup for the Golden State Warriors. He has averaged 13.5 points per game as a starter and has dropped 10 or more points in seven of his last eight contests. Tonight, he will face off against a Denver Nuggets team that he has scored eight points against twice this season. Trayce was a backup in both of those games and played 18 minutes or less in each. Denver has allowed 22.40 points per game to the center position this season. Tap the More on Trayce for Thursday night.

Victor Wembanyama (C – SAS): UNDER 19.5 points

Wemby has seen a drastic reduction in minutes since missing the Bucks game on December 19th. He has played 26 minutes or less in every contest since then but has still found a way to be productive. He has scored 20 or more in each of his last three games. However, Wemby shot .500 or better in each of those games. Facing Milwaukee and Brook Lopez and Giannis Antetokounmpo tonight, Wemby may go back to struggling for efficiency. He scored 17 or fewer points in four straight games before his three game streak of 20 or more. Milwaukee has allowed 22.41 points per game to the center position this season, so Wemby can hit the 20 needed to click, but the expected inefficient night from the field should keep him just under.

Jonathan Kuminga (G/F/C – GSW): OVER 13.5 points

Kuminga has injected some life into the Warriors starting five. He has averaged 15.5 points and 5.5 rebounds on .536 shooting. Kuminga has scored 16 or more in each of his last two games and 13 or more in five of his last seven. Tonight, he’ll square off against a Nuggets team surrendering 21.23 points per game to the power forward position. Bump the More on Kuminga for Thursday night.

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
