NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (1/5)
Welcome to Sleeper Picks! Sleeperâs newest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We will break down our top three picks for tonight's NBA action. Similar to fantasy sports, the goal in Sleeper Picks is to draft a team of players based on who you think will perform better than the field. But with Sleeper Picks, you pick teams of 2-8 players from multiple teams based on your preferences and predict whether those players will score more or less than a predetermined amount. There are a number of ways to play and a variety of strategies to employ, and weâll guide you through the process each week.

NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (1/5/24)
Season record: 95-56
RJ Barrett (G/F â TOR): OVER 16.5 points
RJ took a step back in his second game as a Raptor, watching Knicks teammate Immanuel Quickley step up to lead the team in scoring. Barrett was fifth on the team in scoring on Wednesday, with 14 points on 5/12 shooting. There is some concern here due to the usage of IQ and Scottie Barnes, along with Pascal Siakam remaining one of the focal points of the offense, but RJ should hit at least 17 unless Dennis Schroder stays hot off the bench. Sacramento has relinquished the seventh most points per game to the shooting guard position this season at 23.24 per contest. Rap the More on RJ for Friday nightâs action.
Domantas Sabonis (C â SAC): OVER 0.5 double doubles
Run, don't walk, and lock this one in before it expires. Sabonis is an automatic play whenever on the board, as he has been cleaning glass and dishing out dimes all season to the tune of 12.8 rebounds and 7.5 assists per game. Domantas has recorded a double double in 29 of 33 games this season, or 87.8 percent of the time. He has seven triple doubles on the season, including four in his last seven games. Tonight, he faces a Raptors team surrendering 14.83 rebounds per game to the position. This is the highest probability play on Sleeper Picks aside from the 99 percent off promo lines. Dap the More on Domantas for Friday night.
Immanuel Quickley (G â TOR): OVER 16.5 points
IQ scored 14 and 26 points in his first two games as a member of the Toronto Raptors, making the 16.5 a relatively easy More tap for Friday night. Quickley took 18 shots in his last game, suggesting he will once again have the opportunity to have the volume needed to hit this total, even if he is inefficient from the field. I am not sure how I feel about ending the experiment with Scottie at the point, but the Poeltl-Siakam-Barnes-Barrett-Quickley lineup is indeed their best starting five. However, moving Barrett to the three, Quickley to the two, and Barnes back to the one could be in the offing in the near future. However, as long as Quickley can continue to create off the dribble, he should hold onto the role and the increased usage. Sacramento has been solid against point guard this season but has still allowed 23.75 points per game to the position. Tap the More on IQ for Friday night.
Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
