NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (11/15)

Welcome to Sleeper Picks! Sleeper’s newest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We will break down our top three picks for tonight’s NBA action. Similar to fantasy sports, the goal in Sleeper Picks is to draft a team of players based on who you think will perform better than the field. But with Sleeper Picks, you pick teams of 2-8 players from multiple teams based on your preferences and predict whether those players will score more or less than a predetermined amount. There are a number of ways to play and a variety of strategies to employ, and we’ll guide you through the process each week.

NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (11/15/23)

Season record: 28-16

Domantas Sabonis (C – SAC): OVER 0.5 double doubles

With a double double in eight of his nine games played this season, Domantas is an elite bet to record another double double tonight. He has recorded 11 or more rebounds in seven of nine games while hitting 10 assists against Cleveland on Monday. Averaging 18 points, 12.4 rebounds, and 7.3 assists per game, Sabonis is someone to key on tickets until he cools down, but this is especially true when we have a promo line to attach to it. The Los Angeles Lakers remain generous to the center position, and they have surrendered 15.35 rebounds per game and allow the third most assists per game at 5.35. The multiplier here remains low, but since we have to stick three plays on our ticket due to the promo line, the More on Sabonis has too much value to ignore.

Zach LaVine (G – CHI): UNDER 26.5 points

LaVine is rumored to be on the trading block, so there was some hesitation here as the Bulls may wish to showcase the high-flying guard before attempting to trade him for top dollar. However, with a tough on-paper matchup on hand against (checks notes twice) the Orlando Magic, the scales tipped towards LaVine and away from our other considered play, the More on Dennis Schroder. LaVine is averaging 21.9 points per game on the season and has scored more than 27 points just once all season. So why is this total so high, you ask? DeMar DeRozan will miss Wednesday night’s game due to personal reasons. Still, facing off against a stingy Magic defense allowing the fourth fewest points per game to the shooting guard position at 19.89, the lean here is on the Less.

Jayson Tatum (G/F – BOS): OVER 0.5 points

Yes, we included this line in yesterday’s column, but it has been available to users for both Tuesday and Wednesday, and should be keyed on tickets if you did not use it yesterday. Promo lines require you to pick three or more plays for your ticket, so the suggestion here is to pair Tatum with Sabonis double doubles and a third total of your choosing. Barring a brawl when the game is still scoreless, Tatum will hit at least one point tonight. With a 1.77 multiplier, this should be keyed into at least one of your tickets, even if you prefer to combine it with an NFL or college football line. Tap the More on Tatum, period.

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper, so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
