Welcome to Sleeper Picks! Sleeper’s newest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We will break down our top three picks for tonight’s NBA action. Similar to fantasy sports, the goal in Sleeper Picks is to draft a team of players based on who you think will perform better than the field. But with Sleeper Picks, you pick teams of 2-8 players from multiple teams based on your preferences and predict whether those players will score more or less than a predetermined amount. There are a number of ways to play and a variety of strategies to employ, and we’ll guide you through the process each week.

NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (11/22/23)

Season record: 39-21

Domantas Sabonis (C – SAC): OVER 0.5 double doubles

Sabonis had arguably his worst game of the season on Monday, but still almost finished with a Jason Kidd double double. The 10 points were his second-lowest scoring output of the season, while the 10 rebounds were his third-lowest rebound total. Still, Sabonis clicked on the double double for the seventh straight game and for the 12th time in 13 games. Sabonis double double will be a mainstay in this column until he starts to slip on the board totals, so be sure to seek this out early to get the best multiplier possible and to avoid Sleeper Picks expiring the total like they do to Nikola Jokic. I still have not received an answer on why lines expire, so I continue to open my app throughout the evening to take advantage of these double double lines as they are posted. Slap the More on Sabonis despite the low multiplier.

Alperen Sengun (C – HOU): OVER 20.5 points

Seeing this total set me off. I have been trailing Sengun all season and was fine with the 18.5 based on his recent scoring output. However, the 20.5 is right on the edge of value. So much so that I actually considered fading the talented young big man. Memphis has some talent up front in Jaren Jackson Jr. but has still allowed 21.88 points per game. The matchup kept this total in play, but it’s not a must-key, and the total may be a Less play in future weeks. With that being said, Sengun has scored 23 or more points in five straight games. He is being more aggressive from the floor at the behest of his teammates, and the results have been encouraging. Tap the More on Sengun for Wednesday night.

Bam Adebayo (C – MIA): OVER 0.5 double doubles

Back to the Bam well. Adebayo double double has been another one of the totals that has been kind to us so far at Sleeper Picks and is a line we will be keying until his board totals start to slip. The multiplier is higher on Adebayo as he is not the same threat in the assist department as Nikola Jokic or Domantas Sabonis. This makes for a lower probability but also gives us a higher multiplier in comparison. Bam is averaging 22.8 points, 10.2 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game on the season and is a strong bet to grab at least 10 boards against a Cleveland Cavaliers. Cleveland surprisingly gives up the sixth most rebounds per game to the center position at 15.76, making this a high-probability play. Bam has recorded a double double in seven of his last eight games, a stretch in which he is averaging 12.12 rebounds per game. Bump the More on Adebayo for Wednesday night.

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper, so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
