NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (11/30/23)

Season record: 46-29

Brandon Miller (G/F – CHA): OVER 14.5 points

Miller tweaked his ankle the last time out, but is a strong play if he suits up tonight. LaMelo Ball is out, leaving more shots for the rookie. Miller is averaging 14.4 points per game on the season but has drained 15 or more in four of his last five, with three of 18 or more. Tonight, he will square off with a familiar opponent in the Brooklyn Nets, against whom he scored 22 points earlier this season. Brooklyn has allowed a league-high 24.68 points per game to the small forward position (and 21.50 to shooting guards, depending on where he starts), giving Miller an excellent opportunity to hit at least the 15 points needed for the More to hit. Mash the More on Miller for Thursday night.

Spencer Dinwiddie (G – BKN): OVER 16.5 points

Dinwiddie has started to heat up for the Brooklyn Nets, scoring 23 or more points in three of his last four games. He has been shining with Cam Thomas and Ben Simmons sidelined, and with both set to miss yet another game, Dinwiddie should have the green light to shoot as well. Dinwiddie took 17 shots in the three games in which he drained 23 or more and should have another high volume night from the field. Tonight, he is facing off against a Charlotte Hornets team allowing 23.74 points per game to the point guard position, and that will be without their own starting point guard in LaMelo Ball. Tap the More on Dinwiddie for Thursday night.

Shaedon Sharpe (G – POR): UNDER 14.5 points

Sharpe has been struggling with his shot lately. He has shot over .500 just twice all season and has scored 17 or fewer points in seven straight games. He has been held under 14 points in three of his last five. He should get it going eventually but may be headed to the bench when Anfernee Simmons is healthy. There is going to be a logjam at guard, and Sharpe is likely the one who will see his minutes suffer the most if he doesn’t pick up his level of play soon. Sharpe is averaging 16.6 points on the season, but his scoring production has slipped recently. That is not a good recipe for success, as Sharpe is set to take on a Cleveland Cavaliers defense that has limited opposing shooting guards to the second fewest points per game this season at 19.29 per game. Sharpe can always get hot from the field and score 15 or more, but his recent form suggests that he is going to struggle with his shot and will need volume to hit the More. Fade Sharpe and go with the Less for tonight’s game against Cleveland.

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
