Similar to fantasy sports, the goal in Sleeper Picks is to draft a team of players based on who you think will perform better than the field. But with Sleeper Picks, you pick teams of 2-8 players from multiple teams based on your preferences and predict whether those players will score more or less than a predetermined amount. There are a number of ways to play and a variety of strategies to employ, and we’ll guide you through the process each week.

NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (12/22/23)

Season record: 75-46

Domantas Sabonis (C – SAC): OVER 0.5 double doubles

Sabonis has been a double double machine through two months of the season, recording 22 double doubles in 26 games played. He has posted a double double in nine straight, making this one of the standout lines on Sleeper Picks whenever it is available. Averaging 12.2 rebounds per game on the season, Domantas is facing a Phoenix Suns team he hauled in 17 rebounds against seven games ago. Slap the More on Sabonis for Friday night.

Scottie Barnes (G/F – TOR): OVER 21.5 points

Barnes has been cooking lately, scoring 20 or more points in eight of his last nine and 22 or more in seven of them. He continues to do most of his damage in the fourth quarter (34 percent of his points), so one can only imagine what he could do if he was in takeover mode all game. Whatever the case, Scottie is facing a Philadelphia 76ers team he has dropped 24 on in both games played against them this season, making this an excellent value. Roll with form and head-to-head data and bump the More on Barnes for Friday night’s action.

Dejounte Murray (G – ATL): OVER 18.5 points

Dejounte remains a questionable fit off the ball alongside Trae Young but has picked it back up lately, scoring 20 or more points in six of his last seven games and eight of his last 10. Tonight, he faces off against a Miami Heat team he dropped 23 on back in November. Miami has allowed the eighth most points per game to the shooting guard position, allowing 23.21 points per contest. Dap the More on Dejounte for Friday night’s slate.

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
