NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (12/31/24)

Regular season record: 91-38

Anthony Edwards (G – MIN): OVER 19.5 points (alt line)

Ant-Man has been struggling hard recently, posting just 19.3 points per game on .393 shooting over his last six contests. Edwards seems to be going through the motions in some of his matchups, a bad habit he likely picked up from the Timberwolves version of Karl-Anthony Towns. However, today, the T-Wolves square off against an opponent that is sure to get Edwards' blood pumping in the Oklahoma City Thunder. A strong opponent isn't going to magically fix his shooting woes, but increased effort and focus will. OKC surrenders 20.82 points per game to the shooting guard position. Light up the More on Ant-Man for Tuesday night at Sleeper Picks.

Donovan Mitchell (G – CLE): OVER 3.5 assists (alt line)

Donovan had another hot start for the Cavs his last time out but managed just 23 points and four assists in 27 minutes of action. The Cavs are beating up on opponents, so gamescript needs to be accounted for going forward, especially with first quarter points back on the table as an option. Donovan has dished out four or more assists in 11 straight games and five or more in 10 of 11. Mitchell handed out seven assists when he faced LeBron James and the Lakers earlier this season. Dap the More on Donovan for Tuesday night basketball.

Damian Lillard (G – MIL): OVER 19.5 points (alt line)

Dame returned to action on Saturday, putting up 29 points, six rebounds, 12 assists, and two steals in 35 minutes of action. Lillard has found his groove this season, finally adjusting to his new set of circumstances as option 1b. He is averaging 25.9 points per game, scoring 20 or more in 12 of his last 13 and 23 or more in 11 of his last 12. Dame dropped 24 points on Indiana earlier this season. Drill the More on Dame for Tuesday afternoon basketball.

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
