NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (2/13/24)

Season record: 142-85

Jaden Ivey (G – DET): OVER 21.5 points

Ivey has caught fire in the month of February, scoring 23 or more points in four of his five games. He’s averaging an outstanding 26.4 points on .516 shooting and looks like a new player since news of Killian Hayes being released broke. Ivey has taken 20+ shots in each of his last three games and, with a permanent green light, should hoist up 20+ again tonight. His volume will drop when Quentin Grimes finally joins the lineup, but for now, he’s an excellent play at 21.5 points against a Los Angeles Lakers team surrendering 23.64 points per game to the shooting guard position. Jab the More on Jaden for Tuesday night basketball.

Paolo Banchero (F/C – ORL): OVER 5.5 assists

Paolo has been showing off his playmaking wares recently, recording six or more assists in each of his last 10 games. His recent assist binge has spiked his season number up to 5.1. Tonight, he’ll face off against an Oklahoma City Thunder team that he narrowly missed dropping a triple double on earlier this season, finishing with 20 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists. Roll with form and head-to-head data and push the More on Paolo for Tuesday night.

Franz Wagner (F/C – ORL): OVER 21.5 points

Wagner has been on a tear recently, scoring 34 or more points in three of his last four games. Yes, the opponents in those three weren’t exactly world-beaters, but his scoring binge has been impressive nonetheless. Wagner will have a tougher matchup tonight but will be leaned on with Oklahoma City in town. OKC has been excellent against the small forward position in terms of points per game against (19.15), but don’t usually face off against 6’10 threes who have been on fire. Fire up the More on Franz for Tuesday night’s action.

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
