NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (2/5/25)

Regular season record: 141-48

Cade Cunningham (G – DET): OVER 19.5 points (alt line)

Cade was rewarded with an all-star nomination, and while the new format kind of ruins the experience, this should be the first appearance of many for the jumbo point guard. Cade is averaging 25.3 points per game in the season but is listed at 27.5 for tonight's game against Cleveland. The 24.5 is not a remote consideration here, as if we are sacrificing multiplier, we are going for a high probability play. Cade scored just 22 against the Cavs four games ago and had another 22 point outing two games ago. However, Cade has scored 20 or more points in each of his last 13 games. Clap the More on Cade for Wednesday night basketball.

Donovan Mitchell (G – CLE): OVER 3.5 assists (alt line)

Donovan has stepped it back up as a facilitator, dishing out six or more assists in each of his last seven games. He is at just 4.7 on the season but has averaged 6.3 assists per game over that stretch. Mitchell handed out five and six assists in his two matchups against the Pistons so far this season. The six assist outing was just five games ago. Dap the More on Donovan for Wednesday night's NBA action.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (G – OKC): OVER 24.5 points (alt line)

The SGA for MVP campaign is all but wrapped up; he just needs to stay healthy, and the award is his. The crown jewel of the so-called Vince Carter generation, SGA will be the first non-controversial Canadian MVP. SGA has been lighting it up as a scorer this season, pouring in 32.5 points per game. He has dropped 25 or more in 17 straight games and will be facing a Portland team he dropped 35 on just four games ago. Slap the More on SGA for Wednesday night at Sleeper Picks.

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
