NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (2/5/24)

Season record: 131-78

Domantas Sabonis (C – SAC): OVER 0.5 double doubles

The double double King has 31 straight double doubles and is just one triple double (14) behind Nikola Jokic (15) for the league lead. He has been exceptional this season and is objectively the most egregious snub from this year’s all-star game. He has never been a sexy name, but he makes a bigger impact than Karl Anthony-Towns on both ends of the floor. Averaging 19.9 points, 13.0 rebounds, and 8.0 assists per game, Sabonis double doubles is a play to chase the night before any Kings game. The multiplier starts low and only drops before expiring, so act early to avoid disappointment. Sabonis has 44 double doubles in 48 games played and is facing a Cleveland Cavaliers team he had a 23-9-10 line against earlier this season. Dap the More on Domantas for Monday night.

Onyeka Okongwu (C/F – ATL): OVER 12.5 points

Okongwu has a chance to shine with Clint Capela dealing with an adductor strain. He exploded for 22 points and 16 rebounds on Saturday, proving once again that the Hawks should have traded Clint Capela years ago. If Okongwu does not hit at least 13 against a Los Angeles Clippers team allowing 20.80 points per game to the center position, it would be a massive surprise. Opt for the More on Onyeka for Monday night basketball.

Evan Mobley (F/C – CLE): OVER 12.5 points

Mobley is still playing a truncated minute count, but his 28 points and 10 rebounds against the Spurs in just 23 minutes suggests he is ready for a more full complement of minutes. Averaging 15.9 points on the season, the total here didn't jump due to uncertainty over his minutes and, thus, scoring opportunities. Mobley dropped 16 points and 12 rebounds on the Sacramento Kings earlier this season. 13 points will be a relatively easy hit if his minutes trend upwards tonight as expected. Mash the More on Mobley for Monday night.

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
