NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (3/12/25)

Regular season record: 192-61

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (G – OKC): OVER 24.5 points (alt line)

SGA is still the clubhouse favorite for the MVP award, but it has become apparent that Nikola Jokic will generate more first place votes than many may feel comfortable with. For his part, SGA is having an elite season on the best team in the NBA. He has kept the team rolling despite key injuries to both of their frontcourt stars and has become one of the faces of the NBA in the process. SGA is averaging 32.7 points per game and has scored 25 or more points in 48 of his last 53 games. Gilgeous-Alexander scored 33 points when he faced Boston earlier this season. Slap the More on SGA for Wednesday night basketball.

Ja Morant (G – MEM): OVER 19.5 points (alt line)

Ja has started to roll for the Grizzlies. He has averaged 25.1 points per game since the all-star break, after averaging just 20.1 points per game prior to the break. The efficiency isn't there, but it is obvious that he is ramping it up in preparation for the postseason. Stars need to star in the postseason, and if Ja can get it going and the rest of the team can play as well as they have during the regular season, the Conference Finals are well within reach. Ja has scored 21 or more points in eight straight games, a stretch in which he has averaged 26.7 points per game. Jab the More on Ja for Wednesday night's NBA action.

Kevin Durant (F – PHX): OVER 19.5 points (alt line)

The quiet assassin continues to thrive for the Phoenix Suns individually, but poor ownership, management, and coaching have the Suns chasing a play-in berth. Durant is set to be moved this summer after being dangled in trade talks at the deadline (without even being informed). It is evident that KD is done with the team but wanted to stay with the Suns this season for his teammate(s), namely Devin Booker. KD has scored 20 or more points in 37 of his last 40 games. Durant scored 37 points in his lone game against the Houston Rockets this season. Light up the More on KD for Wednesday night at Sleeper Picks.

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
