NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (3/4/25)
Regular season record: 176-60
Kevin Durant (G/F – PHX): OVER 19.5 points (alt line)
One of the top talents to ever set foot on an NBA court; time is running out for this superstar to add a chapter to his legacy that reads won without Steph Curry. Look, I am a KD fan and believe it is not his fault that the Warriors had cap space and that Russell Westbrook was hard to play with. But I also understand that many casuals are more upset at KD exercising his free agency rights than they are at LeBron James for forming a super team in Miami or trading away all of the Los Angeles Lakers' depth for a bubble championship and a bunch of otherwise disappointing seasons.
Back to the present, Durant is not long for Phoenix but is determined to play out the season and then to let the chips fall where they may. Averaging 26.7 points per game as the number two at age 36, Durant's brilliance cannot be overstated. KD has scored 20 or more points in 32 of his last 35 games played. He dropped 25, 18, and 24 points on the Clippers in his three matchups against them this season. Light up the More on KD for Tuesday night at Sleeper Picks.
Donovan Mitchell (G – CLE): OVER 3.5 assists (alt line)
Donovan Mitchell is spearheading a team many believe has a chance to make it out of the Eastern Conference, but he will need to continue to play at a high level and to ensure his teammates do as well. The playoffs are a different animal, and anyone who knows the legend of LeBronto will remind you that the regular season means nothing aside from seeding and an extra home game. Donovan's ability to set his teammates up is going to be critical in the playoffs, as he has a higher usage rate than his point guard, Darius Garland. Mitchell has handed out five or more assists in 14 of his last 15 games played. Dap the More on Donovan for Tuesday night's NBA action.
Damian Lillard (G – MIL): OVER 19.5 points (alt line)
Dame has been dealing with a hamstring issue but carries no injury designation for tonight's matchup. He comes into this contest averaging 25.9 points per game and listed at a full line of 26.5 points, a number he has hit in just two of his last five games. The alt line of 19.5 has far more appeal as Dame has scored 20 or more in three of his last four and in 22 of his last 25 games played. Lillard scored 23 and 25 points in his two matchups against the Hawks this season. Dap the More on Dame to Tuesday night basketball.
Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
