NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (3/5/25)
Regular season record: 182-60
Luka Doncic (G – LAL): OVER 24.5 points (alt line)
Luka has found a comfort level in Los Angeles, and the early returns have been great. By now, you have all heard about the Luka trade and nauseum, but there is something to be said for the fact that Luka is healthy and the Dallas Mavericks are headed to the lottery. Luka has scored 25 or more points in four of his last six games and has an excellent opportunity to score at least that much tonight against the New York Knicks. The 19.5 was given consideration here as Luka has hit that number in five of his last six games, but we expect to see Luka at close to the top of his game for tonight's battle against former teammate Jalen Brunson. Light up the More on Luka for Thursday night at Sleeper Picks.
Amen Thompson (G/F – HOU): OVER 7.5 rebounds (alt line)
Amen Thompson has shown flashes of brilliance this season but has also shown enough inconsistency to temper expectations. Averaging 16.3 points, 9.3 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 1.7 steals, and 1.7 blocks per game as a starter this season, Amen has quickly become one of the brightest young talents in the league. Amen has hauled in eight or more rebounds in each of his last nine games and grabbed 10 rebounds in his last matchup against the New Orleans Hornets. Hit the More on Amen for Thursday night's NBA action.
Jimmy Butler (G/F – GSW): OVER 3.5 assists (alt line)
The addition of Jimmy Butler was a controversial one if you listen to the talking heads, but in reality, he has been one of the biggest impact additions to any roster at a trade deadline, past or present. Golden State is 9-1 since the trade with Jimmy in the lineup. The move has helped them wrestle free of the play-in, as the Warriors currently sit in sixth place in the West. He has rejuvenated the Warriors' hopes to contend and has revitalized Steph Curry, who once again seems to be having fun playing basketball. Jimmy has been making an impact on both sides of the ball, but perhaps most impressive is how well he has fit within the system. Butler's playmaking skills have been on display as he has handed out four or more assists in each of his 10 games with the Warriors. Jab the More on Jimmy for Thursday night basketball.
Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
