NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (3/7/25)
Regular season record: 185-60
Kevin Durant (G/F – PHX): OVER 19.5 points (alt line)
KD and the Phoenix Suns still have a strong chance at a play-in berth, but barring an unforeseen playoff run, this is set to be another lost season for one of the greatest talents in NBA history. Where Durant ends up this summer is sure to be a talking point all the way up to the free agency period, but the Suns still have games to play. Tonight, they will face off against the Denver Nuggets in what is sure to be a tough test. KD comes into tonight's game averaging 26.9 points but is listed at a full line of just 24.5. KD has scored 20 or more points in 32 of his last 35 games but scored just 23 when he faced Denver earlier this season. Stay safe and stick with the alt line. Light up the More on KD for Friday night at Sleeper Picks.
Donovan Mitchell (G – CLE): OVER 3.5 assists (alt line)
Donovan has improved as a playmaker this season. He has found a way to still seek his own shot while setting up his teammates. This is critical due to his usage rate and will be a key correlative factor that helps determine just how far the Cleveland Cavaliers can go in the playoffs this year. Mitchell has handed out five or more assists in 16 of his last 17 games. The Spida scored 21 or more in 16 of those games, 23 or more in 14, and 24 or more in 13 of them. Donovan dished out eight and four assists in his two matchups against the Charlotte Hornets this season. Dap the More on Donovan for Friday night's NBA action.
Zach LaVine (G/F – SAC): OVER 19.5 points (alt line)
The Less on the Keegan Murray double double line was considered here, but while the probability was tremendous, the multiplier was low, and we will stick with More's when possible so more people will be willing to trail. LaVine has been solid since coming over from the Chicago Bulls. His numbers have actually taken a slight dip, but he is playing a key role as a scorer and is helping to fill the void left by the departure of De'Aaron Fox. LaVine has scored 20 or more points in five straight and in nine of his last 11 overall. Zap the More on Zach for Friday night basketball.
Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
