NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (4/10)

Welcome to Sleeper Picks! Sleeper’s newest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We will break down our top three picks for tonight’s NBA action. Similar to fantasy sports, the goal in Sleeper Picks is to draft a team of players based on who you think will perform better than the field. But with Sleeper Picks, you pick teams of 2-8 players from multiple teams based on your preferences and predict whether those players will score more or less than a predetermined amount. There are a number of ways to play and a variety of strategies to employ, and we’ll guide you through the process each week.

NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (4/10/24)

Season record: 196-128

Devin Booker (G – PHX): OVER 7.5 1st quarter points

I don’t know what to say about the Suns’ first quarter yesterday against the Clippers, but both Booker and Kevin Durant bounced back from 0-5 starts from the field to at least bring the game back to respectability. Book has now scored five or fewer points in three straight but should be more selective with his shots after last night’s debacle. Booker has scored 10 or more points in six of his last 10 games and should make it a point to be a tone-setter tonight. Bump the More on Booker for Wednesday night.

Nikola Jokic (C – DEN): OVER 0.5 double doubles

Jokic continues to be a walking double double and a nightly triple double threat, so whenever this total is still on the board the next morning, it is one that will appear in this column, and that should be locked in immediately. The multiplier will get exactly no one excited, but as we have echoed here multiple times before, there is always a place for low multiplier plays in environments where you are required to make two or more predictions. Jokic is second in the NBA with 64 double doubles and has posted at least 10 and 10 in 10 straight games. Jab the More on Jokic for Wednesday night basketball.

Michael Porter Jr. (F – DEN): OVER 4.5 1st quarter points

MPJ continues to be a spark for the Nuggets in the first quarter, scoring five or more points in 17 of his last 19 games and six or more in 11 of his last 19. This total is a much better value at 4.5 but could climb to 5.5 by game time due to Aaron Gordon being sidelined. MPJ 4.5 has been one of the hottest plays of the last two months or so. Mash the More on MPJ for Wednesday night.

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
