NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (4/12/24)

Season record: 201-128

Michael Porter Jr. (F – DEN): OVER 4.5 1st quarter points

MPJ is listed at 4.5 yet again, and as long as this continues, we are going to ride with the talented wing. He has scored five or more first quarter points in 18 of his last 20 games, making this one of the highest probability plays on the board many nights. Being listed with a 1.80x multiplier is a perplexing but welcomed bonus we should seek to take advantage of. MPJ managed just three first quarter points against San Antonio the last time he played them, going cold from the field, posting a .200 field goal percentage on five shot attempts. MPJ had six in the first in his previous game against them, and that is more in line with what we can expect from him tonight. Mash the More on MPJ for Friday night basketball.

LeBron James (G/F – LAL): OVER 32.5 points + assists

LeBron is dealing with an ankle injury, so it is well within the realm of possibility that he gets a rest day tonight, in which case the More on Anthony Davis at 22.5 points is the play. However, if LeBron decides to suit up, he should still hover around the 30-minute mark. LeBron has recorded 33 or more points plus assists in three straight and in nine of his last 12. He posted 35 points plus assists (23 points and 12 assists) against Memphis two weeks ago. Light up the More on LeBron for Friday night.

Josh Hart (G/F – NYK): OVER 15.5 assists + rebounds

Hart has been rolling lately, piling up 16 or more assists plus rebounds in three straight and in 12 of his last 15 games. Hart posted 16 and 18 assists plus rebounds in his two matchups against the Brooklyn Nets this season and is in an excellent position to do so again tonight. Hit the More on Hart for Friday night basketball.

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
