NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (4/4/25)

Regular season record: 217-66

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (G – OKC): OVER 24.5 points (alt line)

Nikola Jokic continues his incredible play, something which promises to generate him even more MVP votes than many thought possible a few weeks ago. SGA undoubtedly deserves it, but Jokic, perhaps playing at his highest level ever (at least based on the numbers), makes things complicated, especially in a league with multiple controversial MVP winners. Shai has now scored 25 or more points in 17 straight and in 39 of his last 41 games overall. Slap the More on SGA for Friday night at Sleeper Picks.

Donovan Mitchell (G – CLE): OVER 3.5 assists (alt line)

Donovan Mitchell has been sensational this season. He has helped power the Cleveland Cavaliers to first place in the Eastern Conference, and unless the wheels fall off, the Cavs will clinch the conference. Securing first place in the East is huge as it will give them home court advantage in a potential matchup with the defending champion Boston Celtics. While Boston has been better on the road than at home this season, Cleveland has lost 66% of their games outside the friendly confines of Rocket Arena. Mitchell has taken a step back in assist numbers but remains a key playmaker for Cleveland, given his team-high usage rate. Donovan has dished out four or more assists in 26 of his last 30 games played. Dap the More on Donovan for Friday night's NBA action.

Cade Cunningham (G – DET): OVER 19.5 points (alt line)

Cade Cunningham has been dealing with a calf injury but is listed as questionable for tonight's contest against the Toronto Raptors. Cade has scored 20 or more points in 17 of his last 21 contests and should have an easy path to achieving that feat again tonight, provided Cade isn't pulled early in a blowout. Clap the More on Cade for Friday night basketball.

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
