No. 5 Michigan Wolverines vs. No. 4 Texas A&M Aggies
- Leg 1: Michigan Moneyline (+122)
- Leg 2: Daniel Wolf 8+ Rebounds (-460)
- Leg 3: Tre Donaldson 10+ Points (-250)
- Leg 4: Wade Taylor IV Under 17.5 Points (-137)
I love this matchup for the Wolverines. Michigan is the better team offensively and defensively. I know looking at KenPom ratings will say otherwise, but when you look behind the surface, you will see why I.
Offensively, Texas A&M ranked 46th in offensive adjusted efficiency while the Wolverines ranked 47th.
But the Aggies are ranked 309th in offensive effective field goal percentage while Michigan is 51st. On top of that, Texas A&M ranks 325th in three-point percentage, 275th in two-point percentage and 283rd in free-throw percentage - that's worse than some of the No. 16 seeds in this tournament.
While Michigan’s numbers are nothing spectacular, they are vastly better than the Aggies’ numbers. Michigan ranks 51st in effective field goal percentage, 193rd in three-point percentage, 13th in two-point percentage and 175th in free-throw percentage.
Michigan also has the size advantage with Daniel Wolf and Vladislav Goldin down low. This is a tough draw for Texas A&M

No. 8 Gonzaga Bulldogs vs. No. 1 Houston Cougars
- Leg 1: Houston Moneyline (-225)
- Leg 2: Alt Under 146.5 Points (-258)
- Leg 3: L.J. Cryer 15+ Points (-175)
- Leg 4: Nolan Hickman Over 1.5 Three-Pointers Made (-146)
Gonzaga had a very impressive win over Georgia in their first-round matchup. I think a lot of that had to do with the disrespect the Bulldogs felt when the Selection Committee made them a No. 8 seed.
Now the Houston Cougars await them in the second round. Houston is a completely different team than the Georgia team Gonzaga just steamrolled.
Houston ranked second in KenPom's adjusted defensive efficiency and loves to play at an extremely slow pace. Houston will limit the amount of possessions Gonzaga will have and will try to control their fast style of play.
We have seen the Bulldogs have trouble with slow, defensive-minded teams in the past. If Gonzaga has aspirations to reach the Sweet 16 they are going to have to make every possession count. The Bulldogs will need help outside of Graham Ike and Khalif Battle.
Nolan Hickman leads Gonzaga in three-point attempts and three-point percentage. Look for Hickman to knock down a few threes to keep this game close.
