NFL Monday Night Football Anytime Touchdown Scorer Picks: Packers vs. Raiders (Week 5)

The final game of the week has us in the bright lights of Las Vegas. The Packers are coming off an embarrassing loss against the Lions, and they need to rebound. They face the Raiders, who have struggled to start this season as the offense has not played well, and the defense has looked worse.

Let’s look at some guys who could play an impact and find the end zone in this matchup.

NFL Monday Night Football Touchdown Scorer Picks

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Josh Jacobs (-145)

This is too great of a matchup not to add Jacobs. 62 carries are outside of the top ten, but he's been getting the ball in the passing game with a running back-leading 25 targets. The Packers have allowed the fourth-most rushing touchdowns to the running back, and although they haven't allowed a receiving touchdown to RBs, they've given up the fifth-most receiving yards. They depend on Jacobs in the red zone, as his 13 carries inside the 20 are ninth.

Christian Watson (+170)

Last week, in his return from a hamstring injury, Christian Watson was on a pitch clock, and he may not get a full complement of snaps this week, but he should see more playing time. The Raiders have done well with keeping wide receivers from getting the big plays, but they haven't been able to keep them from finding pay dirt as they have allowed the most touchdowns to the position going into Week 5.  With Nate Hobbs out and several others in the secondary getting the questionable tag, they’re coming with a banged-up secondary. I think we'll see a big boost in Watson’s route participation and see the potential to score.

Jakobi Meyers (+180)

So much attention will be paid by Green Bay to stop their former receiver Davante Adams. As of this moment, Jaire Alexander is questionable, and they hope he can return after missing the last two games in order to cover Adams. If not,  Adams and Meyers would be seeing backup defensive backs, especially if Rudy Ford also misses this game. No matter who is in the lineup, Meyers should see some favorable matchups.

Luke Musgrave (+270)

Last week was disappointing for Luke Musgrave as he only had one catch on one target for  one yard. This week, he should see a better target share with the Raiders allowing the nine-most targets and the seventh-most catches to the position. This feels like the perfect week for Musgraves to get his first career NFL touchdown.
