NFL Monday Night Football Player Props (Week 10): Rams vs. Dolphins

The Los Angeles Rams host the Miami Dolphins at SoFi Stadium on Monday Night Football to complete Week 10. The Rams are trending up, winning three straight games to remain competitive in the NFC West, while Miami sits at 2-6 and is desperate to end its three-game losing slump.

My NFL Monday Night Football Player Props (Week 9) picks went 2-0, with DeAndre Hopkins and Kareem Hunt going over their reception and rushing yard totals during Kansas City’s 30-24 overtime win against Tampa Bay. Let’s stay hot and continue to turn a profit during this interconference matchup between quarterbacks Matthew Stafford and Tua Tagovailoa on Monday night.

Tua Tagovailoa O 21.5 Pass Completions (-120)

Tua Tagovailoa knows how important it is to beat the Rams tonight to keep the Dolphins’ slim playoff hopes alive. Tagovailoa’s return from injury in Week 8 resulted in a one-point loss to an improved Arizona Cardinals team, 28-27, via walk-off field goal at home. Then, in Week 9, Miami couldn’t hold off Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills on the road, losing 30-27 on another walk-off field goal attempt from 61 yards.

Los Angeles is allowing the most net passing yards per attempt (7.2) alongside Jacksonville this season. In Week 9, the Rams gave up over 300 passing yards during their 26-20 overtime win against Seattle. Tagovailoa has completed over 21.5 passes in both games since his Week 8 return and it should be no different tonight against a porous Rams secondary.

Star wideout Tyreek Hill’s status remains questionable, but either way, we’re staking a unit on Tagovailoa to be the focal point of Miami’s offense, targeting RB De’Von Achane, WR Jaylen Waddle, and TE Jonnu Smith enough to finish with 22+ pass completions in a game that Miami has to find a way to win.

Jonnu Smith O 3.5 Receptions (-108)

Correlating with our first player prop, Miami’s TE1 Jonnu Smith is being mispriced in the player total receptions betting market. Smith has six targets in three of four games that Tagovailoa has played in 2024, including recent matchups against Arizona and Buffalo.

Smith has logged four or more receptions in four straight games for the Dolphins and that shouldn’t change tonight. The Rams are much more stout against the run defensively and give up explosive chunk plays in the passing attack. Head coach Mike McDaniel will lean into his franchise quarterback and unleash quite a few pass attempts, leading to Smith finishing with over 3.5 receptions against Los Angeles for the fifth consecutive game during Monday Night Football.

Let’s stake one more unit on Smith to go over 3.5 receptions with good value at -108 odds.
