NFL Monday Night Football Player Props (Week 3): Bengals vs. Commanders
The NFLâs second Monday Night Football game sends the 1-1 Washington Commanders on the road to face the 0-2 Cincinnati Bengals. Kickoff is at 8:15 p.m. ET at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati, as Joe Burrow and the Bengals try to finally get in the win column following back-to-back losses in the final stages of each game against New England and Kansas City.
No. 2 overall draft pick and 2023 Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Jayden Daniels leads the Commanders into their first prime-time game of 2024. Washington was routed by Tampa Bay on the road in Week 1, before kicking seven field goals to beat the division-rival New York Giants 21-18 at home in Week 2. Bengals WR Tee Higgins is set to play for the first time this season, adding a much-needed boost to Cincinnatiâs offense.
Iâve got two player props to target in this Monday Night Football interconference matchup after going 3-0 last week on NFL Monday Night Football Player Props (Week 2). Follow me on X at Matt_MacKay_ for more free bets and weekly analysis.
NFL MNF Week 3 Player Props
(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Joe Burrow Under 0.5 Interception (-128)
Joe Burrow is facing one of the weakest secondaries in the NFL on Monday night. This is a must-win game for the Bengals to avoid an 0-3 start and theyâll have plenty of motivation to keep their foot on the gas to rip off chunk plays in the passing attack, especially with Tee Higgins back on the field opposite JaâMarr Chase.
Burrowâs passing yards prop is set to 261.5, which is pretty high considering the Bengals may grind clock if they take an early lead in this game. Burrow came close with 258 yards against Kansas City in Week 2. His passing touchdowns prop is also juiced at -148 for over 1.5 passing touchdowns recorded.
Heâll likely get at least two more passing touchdowns against the Commanders secondary in Week 3, but Iâd prefer to get the lowest juice possible on his passing props, which happens to be for throwing an interception. Burrow has gone two games without throwing an interception against the Patriots and Chiefs, whose secondaries are both better compared to Washington.
Letâs stake a unit on Burrow to extend his streak of throwing no interceptions to three consecutive games at home against the Commanders on Monday Night Football.
Jayden Daniels Over 251.5 Passing + Rushing Yards (-114)
Jayden Daniels has been running quite a bit for Washington, leveraging his mobility, speed, and quickness to move the chains for his offense. Daniels just threw for over 225 yards and completed 79 percent of his pass attempts against the Giants in Week 2. He has yet to throw a touchdown or an interception, but he does have two rushing touchdowns, which both came against Tampa Bay in Week 1.
Daniels has hit 252 passing + rushing yards in both games played thus far, going for 272 in Week 1 and 270 in Week 2. The Bengalsâ run defense is allowing 4.5 YPC and 4.9 net yards per pass attempt, so the rookie signal-caller may have to do more with his legs to hit the over on this prop Monday night.
I believe Daniels combines for at least 252 passing and rushing yards against Cincinnati, as he continues to acclimate to the NFL and Washington OC, Kliff Kingsbury.
