NFL Monday Night Football Preview & Predictions: Texans vs. Cowboys (Week 11)

It's a showdown in the Lone Star State when the Texans and Cowboys square off on Week 11's edition of Monday Night Football. The Texans are looking to pick themselves up off the mat after back-to-back losses and three in their last four games without star WR Nico Collins. Dallas will look to salvage what is turning into a lost season without QB Dak Prescott, who is currently sitting at 3-6. Let's take a deeper look into the matchup.

Monday Night Football Betting Preview: Houston Texans at Dallas Cowboys

The biggest angle in this game will be the return of WR Nico Collins. Losing Collins and WR Stefon Diggs to injury and a banged-up WR Tank Dell has been critical to their recent slide. Collins, who led the league in receiving yards before his injury, is expected to return Monday Night.

In Collins' absence, QB CJ Stroud's numbers took a hit. He averaged only 198.5 YPG in the last four, with two TDs and two INTs. We can expect a jump back to his average of 262.8 YPG in the first six games with 10 TDs and 4 INTs. The improvements expected on offense give Houston an edge.

Dallas has not produced a win since October 6th and are 0-4 ATS, failing to cover by an average of almost 15 points per contest. The offense is a mess with Prescott on IR, and substandard quarterback play is coming from the backups. Their 29th-ranked DVOA defense has also continually let them down in these games, allowing 404.8 yards per game during this current four-game skid. Although it's a big spread, and Houston is 2-5 ATS as favorites this year, the matchup favors the Texans, and I'll be backing the road team.

Pick: Texans -7 (-110)
