NFL Monday Night Football Same Game Parlay: Falcons vs. Raiders (Week 15)

The Falcons need to end their current four-game losing streak or their season will be finished. It’s never easy heading on the road, especially when they’ll be switching time zones, but they do get a favorable matchup against the Raiders, who are competing for the overall No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Atlanta Falcons vs. Las Vegas Raiders

A few weeks ago, it looked good for the Falcons; they were in line to win the NFC South, but a lot has changed. They have lost four straight, with two of those losses coming by more than 20 points. They have been brutal on both sides of the ball, with their defense ranked 31st in expected points added (EPA) and 29th in offense EPA during that losing streak.

You never want to assign total blame to one player, but it's difficult not to correlate Kirk Cousins' recent struggles with this losing streak. He hasn't thrown a touchdown in this four-game span, has eight interceptions and a QB Rating of 62.

Atlanta had a tough stretch on the schedule, playing teams in playoff contention, but they will get a break in this game. The Raiders started 2-2, including a win against the Ravens, but their season has been downhill since. They have lost nine straight and have not looked competitive except for a couple of games.

You can look at injuries as a part of the reason; they lost their starting quarterback and most of their running back depth has missed multiple games. The expectations were low going into the season with Gardner Minshew as the starter. Even before he was injured, he had been benched for Aidan O'Connell. O'Connell left last week's game with a knee injury and is questionable for tonight, so Desmond Ridder could be getting the start in a revenge game against the team that drafted him.

Whether it's O'Connell or Ridder, they could play well against a Falcons defense that has been mediocre this season, ranking 25th in passing yards allowed per game and 31st in opposing QB Rating. The Raiders aren't a terrible defense but aren't top-tier either. They mostly hang around the league average in stats like passing yards allowed (15th) and rushing yards allowed (14th) per game.

We should see Cousins have a rebound game and the Falcons get a convincing win.
