NFL Monday Night Football Same Game Parlay: Lions vs. 49ers (Week 17)
When the NFL scheduled this game, they thought this would have huge implications in the NFC playoff race, but that isnât the case. This week isn't as important for Detroit as next week because win or lose, Week 18 against Minnesota will determine the NFC North and No. 1 seed. This is a lost season for San Francisco as they couldnât overcome some bad losses and unfortunate injuries. Letâs make the same game parlay for one last time on Monday Night.

Detroit Lions vs. San Francisco 49ers
- Leg 1: Over 50.5 Total Points (-110)
- Leg 2: Jahmyr Gibbs 90+ Rushing Yards (-120)
- Leg 3: Jauan Jennings Over 60+ Receiving Yards(-135)
The injuries keep piling up for Detroit, and it's starting to impact their performance. It's tough to say they just don't have David Montgomery on the offense because he's an integral part of this offense. He's the Knuckles, meaning he's the one that hammers away at the line of scrimmage to allow Sonic (Jahmyr Gibbs) to open up with his speed. However, they could be fine without Monty, as the 49ers are 28th in rush EPA.
Defensively, it gets interesting. The Lions currently have 12 defensive players on IR and at least one at every position. Their inability to rotate players is showing, as they're getting torched late in games; they have allowed 18 second-half points per game over their last three, second-most in that span.
All the 49ers have to do is stay competitive in the first 30 minutes, and they can break through in the second half. That will be tough when their defense has been roughed up by offenses that are efficient in the pass and rush. You can look back at the games against Buffalo and Green Bay and see that they cannot contain a balanced offense.
Detroit, minus Montgomery, still has Jared Goff, and he can move the ball with his set of pass catchers, including Amon-Ra St. Brown, Sam LaPorta, and Jameson Williams. This could turn into a game where the Lions will have to rely on that on offense, and this game should hit the over.
